I can´t remember when I last stood outside enjoying the warmth of the sun, which isn´t not good as I like to keep my summer tan as long as possible, haha. I naturally am very pale so I love every single product that can help me look a bit more bronzed and are easy to use. Unfortunately bronzing products can really easily have an orange undertone but the products I´ve picked are perfect for pale girls:

Clarins Addition Concentré Eclat Tan Drops

I generally never use fake tans apart from these tan drops from Clarins. The reason why is because with normal tan I fear that it gets patchy or too dark, but these tan drops are really easy to use as you mix it into your night cream or body lotion and so you can decide by how many drops you mix in, how dark you want to go. Normally I use 2-3 drops and a bit more moisturizer so it´s enough to also work it into my neck. The next morning you get a really natural slightly taned finish. It wears easily off by using a toner, so no need to scrub it harshly off.

IT Cosmetics CC Cream in Medium

I think I´ve mentioned my love for this foundation more than enough by now haha, so I´ll go straight to the shade I´ve picked it in. To be fair I´m really pale and often get foundations in the lightest or second lightest shade availabe, so I was a bit worried at first to go with the shade Medium, but it´s such a natural slightly browner shade without any undertones (not orange in the slightest) that I can easily work it in without getting that weird colour difference between my face and neck. I do like to use my The Body Shop Honey Bronzer to set it and then also on my neck but generally it´s not necessary to put a light bronzer on. When I´ve used the Clarins Tan Drops the night before it looks even better, just like I´ve just come back from a vacation, haha.

Maybelline City Bronzer

If there´s one thing I´m just not good at, at all it´s getting a sharp contour. So instead of keep trying I love to use a nice warm bronzer to get a bit of shape and warmth on my face. I´m not the biggest fan of drugstore bronzers as they tend to be too orange but the Maybelline City Bronzer is something else. It´s a warm brown shade, perfect amount of pigmentation to build it up. I like to use a brush like this from Look Fantastic as it´s the perfect size to put some powder under and over your cheekbone to get a more natural look. This bronzer also has a tiny bit glitter in it, which I love as it´s doesn´t look too heavy and muddy when wearing it.

Nars Laguna Bronzer

If you are one of the few people who doesn´t own or tried the Nars Laguna Bronzer it´s definitely time to do so! It´s definitely a lot more pigmented than the Maybelline Bronzer and is also more glittery but I have to say it´s just the most amazing eyeshadow - yes eyeshadow, haha. As a bronzer it was a bit too much for me, but as a eyeshadow it´s just perfect. You don´t need a lot powder to get that natural brown smokey eye look for everyday and the best thing is that you could actually wear it without a primer underneath - and that´s coming from someone with oily eyelids. I don´t know why but it doesn´t budge at all the whole day.

Sleek Highlighter Dome

Now that I´m all fresh and bronze-y I like to add a nice decent glow. When I´m not getting ready for a night out, where I definitely prefer a strong glow, I like to use a more natural champagne-y cream highlighter like the Sleek Highlighter Dome. It´s just sooo pretty, it doesn´t have glitter particles in it so you get a decent shine by lightly tapping and blending it onto your cheekbones with a beauty blender. You could also just draw a line with it on your cheeks but I find it then harder to blend. It stays on really well and doesn´t look cakey on top of foundation.

How do you get that Bronzed Look on during the Winter?

Unbelievable how long it has been since the summer has ended again, as soon as you get used to the hot temperatures, it gets colder again and unfortunately the days get shorter again...
As September has still been quite warm, I didn´t feel like changing up my makeup routine any time soon, but now I´m slowly switching a few products!

I have to say that in terms of makeup, the transition from summer to autumn is definitely a very fun thing. In summer I really don't wear much makeup, of course because of the temperatures, so I'm very happy to finally be able to reach a little deeper into the drawer again and put on a little more makeup.
In the beginning there are really only small changes for me, for example I can finally wear Foundation again, as well as eyeshadow and eyeliner. Nevertheless, I stay with lighter nude tones before I switch to cooler brown tones.

The following products are therefore currently in my daily makeup routine:

Base

For a long time I have used the NYX Angel Veil Primer as a primer. It is really so good! The most important thing for me with a primer is that it covers the pores around my nose to get an even skin texture. This primer fulfills exactly this point, it covers my pores very well without clogging them and also helps to keep my makeup in place. I always blend it in with the Zoeva Buffing Brush, it works very well and I just like it more than having the remains of the primer on my fingers.

My absolute favorite is the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. Wow, just wow! So far I've only heard good things about this product, but couldn't really imagine that a CC Cream can be as covering as a foundation - wrong thought. It gives such a beautiful skin complexion! Even, fresh and with a hint of glow. You can hardly notice that you have applied something and also when looking closely, there is no trace of a thick makeup layer to be seen. I can really recommend it!
I only apply the foundation with my Beauty Blender - it's hard to believe but the difference of the result when applied with this sponge or with a brush is really immense!

As Concealer I love the Maybelline The Eraser Concealer. I think it´s already my third bottle of it and I´ll keep using it. I find it has the perfect amount of coverage for everyday and it´s also so easy to blend with a damp sponge. It blends in really naturally and so it´s hardly noticeable that you´re wearing a concealer.

As a powder I have been using The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 003 Medium Mat for a long time, but no not as a bronzer but to set. The bronzer in this color is still so light that I can apply it to my whole face and get a more "beautiful" skin color for me, and not underline my paleness even more.
For a hint of colour I apply the Artdeco Bronzing Blush. A beautiful three-coloured blush which, when all colours are mixed together, gives a beautiful sun-kissed complexion. Unfortunately this is only available on the Artdeco website as it is a limited edition as far as I know.
Finally there are a few splashes of the Artdeco Fixing Spray and the base is done!

Brows & Eyes

When it comes to eyebrows, I really always switch between extremely filled, defined eyebrows and the more natural look, where I hardly fill up my eyebrows and just comb them. Right now I love the natural look!
For this I use the NYX Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomeda Pencil in Chocolate. I definitely prefer eyebrow pencils because they are easier to use. This one is really very strongly pigmented, so you have to be careful not to get Eding eyebrows, haha. With the brush on one side I comb my eyebrows upwards and then only fill out the tail and the lower line, because my eyebrows are generally thicker anyway, this is enough for me.
As Mascara my new darling, the Dior Diorshow Mascara, should not be missing. Since I have already talked about it in more detail in my previous post, I will now be short. Long, voluminous eyelashes that look like fake eyelashes.

Lips

Currently I use almost every day the Artdeco Hydra Care Lipstick in Rose Oasis. It is a really beautiful natural rosé shade, a little more pink but not too extreme. I really like it a lot and the best part is the moisture strip in the middle of the lipstick. It gives a lot of care to the lips, which feel really soft for a long time.
For a browner lipstick I love the MaxFactor Lipstick in Burnt Caramel. A nice pink/brown tone. It also looks a lot darker in the packaging than it really is. It also feels very pleasant on the lips and lasts very well and long.

Which products are currently in your Makeup Routine?

Beach Holiday Favourites
This year I spent my summer vacation in Crete.
Pure sun, beautiful sandy beach, good food and drinks, new impressions and every day about 30 degrees - an absolute dream!
I am completely honest, of course I try to take care of my skin and hair anyway, but in the heat sometimes more than a quick bun and a simple facial care is not possible. Now, in hindsight, I think it may have been because of the products I used mostly - or the combination of products.
For the holidays I want to have a quick and easy routine that I can stick to.

This year I have finally discovered some really good products and I would like to show them to you now.

Hair

Davines Oi Oil

I have relatively thick, long hair, which also likes to puff up in high heat or humidity. Therefore I take great care not to heat them up during my holidays and therefore rarely use straightening irons or curling irons, the highest of all feelings is drying with a hairdryer. As care for this I use the GHD heat protection spray and the Davines Oi Oil.
I first became aware of this brand at a blogger event, and I haven't gotten away from it since. The Oi series is really awesome!
I put the oil into the towel-dried hair before I start blow-drying. About 2-3 pumpers are enough for the complete length of my hair.
The main ingredient is Roucou oil - this has a restructuring effect on the hair, supports growth, protects against UV rays and gives an anti-frizz effect without weighing down the hair. The anti-frizz effect is particularly important for me - there are holiday pictures there you would think I have a bird's nest on my head haha - well, that's not what I'm looking for now, and this oil makes my hair very smooth, soft and smells so pleasant too.

So really very recommendable!

Umberto Giannini Pool Proof

During the day a simple sun protection oil or spray is not enough, so I like to use this leave-in cream. In the beginning I had doubts whether such a cream would make my hair look greasy, but this is not the case at all. The cream absorbs super fast and is hardly noticeable afterwards.
This product protects the hair from drying out due to heat, sunlight AND chlorine, mega or? Therefore it should always be reapplied after swimming. The main ingredients here are coconut and olive oils, so it smells great and especially summery. Apart from protecting my hair, it has also given it so much moisture, so it was so much easier to brush through them throughout the day and also style it in the evening, therefore it also looked a lot better and more smooth.
It is really the first sun protection product that convinced me, that I liked to use and that will be my faithful friend for trips to the lake or generally in everyday life in summer.
I found it by chance at TKMaxx for 5€, so it's worth to have a look there, but it should also be available at Boots.

Skincare

Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Body Butter

I'm quite honest, I'm usually too lazy to apply cream after every shower, but what I like even less is when the skin slowly comes off and the tan becomes less and less. So far I have mostly used After Sun Body Lotions, which are more watery and therefore, in my opinion, don't really provide much moisture in the long run - which was probably also the reason why I didn´t like to use them.
This body butter, on the other hand, is, as the name suggests, very creamy!
It is very easy to spread, you really only need a small amount, it´s very moisturizing and smells sooo good of coconut and vanilla.
These little white skin scraps, which stick everywhere quickly after your holiday, went away quite easily with this body butter and, most importantly, stayed away.

In the meantime we have already bought the second tin and won't change to any other body butter/cream/lotion so quickly, haha.

Caudalie Sun Oil

In my opinion one gets tanned much faster and more beautifully with sun oil.
Normally I use one from the drugstore, but this year it was time for a branded product, and I must say I am absolutely thrilled!
This oil smells abnormally good because it contains ingredients like grape seed oil and frangipani flower, so it smells very fresh and summery!
This dry oil can be rubbed in very well and absorbs mega quickly. I hate it when you have oily hands after oiling and then can't touch anything, that's not the case here at all - even the body skin is not oily or greasy at all after application!
It has a SPF of 30 and although I am a really light skin type, I didn't have any problems with sunburn here, of course you should take it slowly but it worked really well from the beginning on. I also got a lot of compliments that I never came back so tanned from my holidays, and that has to mean something hahaha.
What I think is really very cool is that Caudalie doesn't use any ingredients of animal origin and the formula of this sun oil has a high biodegradability and therefore also protects the sea world - really amazing, I haven't heard about any other product I've used so far.

Maria Galland After Sun Maske

I love face masks. By now there are a lot of After Sun masks but this one from Maria Galland really tops everyone!
You probably all know that when you get red cheeks from the sun and your skin is a little tight and dry - that was the case with me and then I tried this mask.
Within a very short time, the redness and tension was gone!
The mask cools very much and feels super comfortable, I leave it on for about 20 minutes and even after washing off a light film remains on the skin and thus still provides some moisture afterwards.
This mask has an anti-aging effect and maintains melanin production, which intensifies the tan even more and keeps it longer. Ingredients include aloe vera, green tea extract and jojoba oil, so you can't go wrong.

I will definitely buy this product again and again!

Makeup

Maybelline City Bronzer & Becca Highlighter

I keep my makeup to a minimum on vacation. I also like to use the holiday time to give my skin a break and I generally find that you automatically get a natural glow and a beautiful complexion during the holiday, which makes most makeup products no longer necessary.
Since I still had my eyelash extension this holiday, I didn't need a mascara, so all I used occasionally was the BECCA highlighter in Opal to bring an extra freshness to my face. I've had this highlighter for a really long time and love it so much, the shine is really strong so I don't use much for a relatively natural look.
To support my teint a little bit and to give my face some contour, I recently started using the Maybelline City Bronzer in Medium Cool. For a drugstore Bronzer it is very good - the pigmentation is perfect to build up and it can be easily blended.

Now and then I also used a lip gloss or just a tinted lip care.

What are your summer favourites? Have you maybe already tried some of mine?

3 Drugstore Concealers
No matter what day of the week it is - apart from the weekends - you´ll clearly see that I´m sleepy and want to go back into my bed. I have to face reality though and get out and get ready for the day.
To also make it look like I´m ready for that I use concealer, a lot of concealer.
For this product I absolutely love reaching for the drugstore versions, not only because I find they give the best finishes but also because I run through them so quickly, that I just couldn´t afford repurchasing a high end concealer every time.

My most frequently used drugstore concealers are the following three...
3 Drugstore Concealers

Collection Lasting Perfection

Let´s start with the one that has the highest coverage. You all probably know this concealer and have hopefully tried it yourself already. On those really rough days I will definitely reach for this concealer, whether it be to hide my dark circles or any blemishes.
This concealer comes with a wand that I use to draw a triangle shape under my eyes and then blend it in with my beauty blender. Even though it´s high coverage I don´t think it looks heavy at all nor does it feel like it. Set with a baking powder it stays in place all day, doesn´t dry my skin out and does it´s job perfectly fine. I got this like a year ago when I was in London - cause it´s not available in Germany - so I´m not sure about the colour range, but I´ve got No. 1 and it suits my skin really well.
I´ll definitely stock up on it when I´m in the UK again as it´s literally an absolute lifesaver on so many days.

Maybelline Age Rewind

After a long break I got around to buying my second tube of this absolute glorious concealer.
It has a medium coverage, but is easily buildable, while still looking very natural. Since it comes with this sponge applicator you kinda already blend it in while applying it, which I really love on those days where I´m short on time - which comes towards the end of the week when I think it´s a good idea to snooze a bit longer. I don´t know why it took me so long to repurchase it but I´m glad I eventually did as now I´m using it almost every day and just love the natural, a bit glowy finish it gives me. Maybelline recently came out with new shades for this concealer and one of them is a brightening shade, which I´m definitely going to try next.

Maybelline Fit Me

The one with the lowest coverage is my old and trust Fit Me Concealer, I´m not too sure but this might be my third tube already and definitely not my last. It´s just one of those that you can wear all year round. As it has a lower coverage it´s also pretty lightweight but you can build it up to a medium coverage. The only two things that are "bothering" me with this product are that you need to blend it in with a brush as I find it kinda loses a lot of coverage when you use a beauty blender and also the colour numbers are soo confusing. Like No. 10 is the darker yellow shade and No. 15 is the paler, pinker shade. I find that was really confusing.
3 Drugstore Concealers

All three of them are totally worth a try, if you haven´t tried them already.

What is your favourite concealer? Do you prefer high-end or drugstore?

Current Drugstore Favourites 1
I find there´s nothing better than discovering an awesome drugstore product.
Of course the high end brands have amazing things to offer, but on the long run, I won´t be able to repurchase them over and over again.
So finding a dupe or just finding a completely new drugstore product is always a little victory for me, and since that has happened quite often recently, I put together those products that have really stood out of my collection and are definitely worth a try...

L´Oreal Perfect Match Foundation

I simply got this foundation out of the fact, that I thought every foundation I already owned was too light, and maybe also because I was left on my own for too long and got bored, haha. I´ve heard great things about this L´Oreal line and thought 10€ wouldn´t hurt me, in case this foundation didn´t have the finish I wanted.
I have to say though I´ve been using this foundation nearly every day since I got it and I loooove it! It´s so nice to blend, the color adapts perfectly to my skin tone and the finish is really natural, not too glowy and also not really matte, just like skin actually.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder

I got this powder since quite a while and I´m still so impressed by it.
Unlike most other drugstore powders, it doesn´t leave those huge chunks of powder particels on your skin, making you look all cakey. This powder is ultra light, yet keeps oily skin at bay. You do have to re-powder throughout the day but even after a few layers, it doesn´t turn your foundation into a cakey mess.
A huge plus is that the shade "Translucent" is actually translucent and adds absolutely no colour at all, really good if you´re as pale as me and don´t want to make it worse, haha.

Collection Lasting Perfection & Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

These two together will guarantee you a flawless complexion!
The Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer has such a good coverage, unbelievable good for a drugstore concealer. My quite dark, sometimes red under eye-area get´s covered and brightened completely, the rest of my face, such as blemishes, spots, and so on get covered up with the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. I find this concealer has a light(er) coverage and is also not as heavy as the lasting perfection one, so perfect to hide and inperfections.

L´Oreal Lip Paint Lacquer

L´Oreal latest lip release, has of course also find it´s way into my makeup collection.
I was at first unsure whether I really needed them as I´m not the biggest fan of lip glosses, but my aunt gave this shade to me since she didn´t want it, and so I had the perfect opportunity to give them a longer try.
I´m slowly growing to like them, as they are really moisturizing and glossy, but not sticky at all, and that´s what I hated the most about other lip glosses.
The colour pay-off is also really good, but what got my attention first, was the design of this product. I really like how it looks like a tube, I guess it will make it easier to really get the most of it at the end as you can just press the leftover´s up and use this product until it´s completely empty.

L´Oreal Telescopic Mascara

What would this post be without my absolute favourite product at the moment, the
L´Oreal Telescopic Mascara.
It is what I call an absolute dream for everyone who wants long lashes!
I´ve first seen it being used on a short makeup tutorial somewhere on Facebook, and the finish it had was unbelievable, the girl who was using it was having similar long lashes than mine and after applying it, they nearly went up all the way to her brows!
I got it soon after, when I was in London, and I´ve been using it every day since then.
This mascara is out of this world! I apply a few layers, without curling my lashes before, and honestly they are perfectly curled with this mascara and get amazingly long.
If you can, get this mascara and thank me later :)

7 Office Approved Eyeshadows
One thing that is important while wearing eyeshadow to work is that it´s not too much, you don´t want to look like you´re gonna go to a party afterwards so a heavy smokey eye is definitely a no-go for me. I rather go for a natural look with loads of beige/nude/rosé shades.
With the colder months still being here it´s hard to drag myself sooner out of bed and actually put some more effort on my face, but I´ve searched together some eyeshadows that are easy to work with even in a half-asleep state.

Today´s guest blogger is Emmy from EmmysBeautyCave.
I really hope you like this post as much as I did and as always feel free to check out her links after you are done reading this one :)
We all know that feeling when it feels like our faces are melting, makeup sliding all over the place and looking a right mess! Heat proof bases are a must have for all of us no matter what our skin type is. I have tested many foundations being the foundation junkie I am, I currently own around 30 foundations... I dread to think how much money I have spent. I have found my perfect five heat proof foundations but all have something different about them.
Make Up Forever Mat Velvet + | £29.00
Firstly how cute is this packaging, it comes with a squeeze nozzle which makes it easy to determine how much product you are getting. This foundation is a medium coverage, it isn't buildable so if medium coverage is what you love then this is for you. When I wear this you can see slightly see my freckles. It has a matte finish but not drying. It lasts really well throughout the heat.

MAC Pro Longwear Foundation | £25.00

I have been using this for a few years now and always repurchase it ready for Summer. Again like the MUFE Foundation this has a medium coverage and isn't buildable. I find this feels very lightweight on the skin compared the MAC's Studio Fix which is heavy and thick. It does work better depending on what primer you use but it is perfect for the hot weather.

Maybelline Matte & Poreless Foundation | £7.99

I have been using this for around four months and I am obsessed! This foundation has such a flawless finish. It is a medium coverage but slightly buildable. You won't get extremely full coverage with this but it is good to build up in certain area's. It doesn't sink in to pores so you see them, it literally makes them look flawless. If you have large pores you will love this. I have worn this over eight hours and had no shine! (Note this is the US version, I purchase mine on Ebay or Amazon)

Smashbox Studio Skin 15hr Wear Foundation | £29.00

This is my newest baby! This is the fullest coverage out of the five as it does provide full flawless coverage. It does have a thicker consistency compared to the others but it doesn't go cakey or feel heavy on the skin. It blends beautifully and looks flawless whilst lasting all day.
UK | Link
Germany | Link

L'Oreal Infallible Foundation | £9.99

I have tried the UK version and the US version of this foundation (pictured above is the US version) and I have to say I found the US version to be 100x better! It provides medium-full coverage without being heavy. The shades in the US range are amazing. My skin looks absolutely flawless with this foundation and it lasts all day still looking flawless after eight hours.  (Again this is the US version, I purchase from Ebay or Amazon)
I mainly have oily skin which sometimes can be combination but it is 90% of the time an oily mess and all of these foundations are life savers. Personally I do still use primer and powder, if you have oily skin using primer, foundation, powder and a setting spray will help keep your making lasting all day long... Go Slay Girl!

What Is Your Favourite Summer Base?

Prom Makeup 1
It was prom night on Saturday, eeeeeek. I´ve been waiting for that night for soo long.
Of course I put a lot of thoughts in my makeup.
It shouldn´t look too cakey but natural, should last the whole night and especially through all the eating and drinking that was sure to happen that night.
The only solution was to use the best of the best, which are these lovely products.

Summer Lip Picks
Summer means bright colours to me and even though I don´t opt for a lot of colourful powder and liquid products for my face, I like to bring the focus to my lips.
For my (sadly still) pale skin I prefer pink shades and that´s what today´s post is all about, I put my favourites from all kind of styles together and kinda present them to you, haha :)

The Primer Tag Flatlay 1
Primer is a huge topic in my eyes. At this moment there are sooo many on the market, all from different price ranges and all with a different aim.
Some promise to hide your pores, some give you a matte or glowy finish and some are just there to make your base products stick to your face all day.

What´s On My Face: April 2016
What´s On My Face: April 2016
How is it already May? Time has flown sooo quick and so it´s again time for another post of my "What´s On My Face" series, in which I show you every month what makeup products I have worn throughout the past month. April was a month with a lot of weather strangeness, at the beginning it was still very cold, then towards the middle all of sudden it turned very warm with temperatures upto 20 degress or more and now towards the end we even had snow again, like what? How is my skin supposed to keep with that?
I found it was reason enough to keep going with my minimalistic makeup look and only add some spring-y colours in it here and there :)

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara & the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara; Smashbox BrowTech To Go & NYX Micro Brow Pencil; Maybelline Baby Skin & Benefit The Porefessional Primer
Running out of your favourite products is a really horrible experience, but running out of high end products that you once got as a treat for yourself is something I don´t want anyone to experience (okay I´m being a little dramatic here). Anyway hitting pan or emptying your favourite products calls for starting the hunt for the ultimate similar that will hopefully be just as good as the "original" or is even better, but just for a fraction of the price.
I collected 3 products that I (nearly) ran out of and think I found quite good similars of (I upgraded on one product but you´ll see in a minute).

The Birthday Makeup Edit Close Up 1
The Birthday Makeup Edit Flatlay
It´s my birthday on the 7th of April, and guess what day it is tomorrow? Exactly, my birthday :) I´m really excited to turn 17 and be one step closer to being full age and being able to do a lot of fun stuff (I´m thinking about going clubbing until the morning hours, haha)
As tomorrow is just a normal school day for me I´ll keep my makeup for the day really minimal and go for my normal routine which consists of a bit concealer, mascara and doing my eyebrows.
For the late afternoon I´ll refresh my whole look a bit and add some eyeshadow, highlighter, blush and lipstick.
I´ve listed the products I used below :)

flatlay, loose powder, makeup sponge, monthly makeup, beauty, makeup, german makeup, american beauty, blending, baking
flatlay, close up, porefessional primer, makeup brush, bb cream,
Another month is over, so it´s again time to show you what I´ve been wearing around on my face throughout the month of march.
If you have seen the other two monthly makeup posts you might have noticed that my bases get lighter and lighter with a lot less coverage. I like to keep my looks very simple as I only mainly go to school and therefor don´t really need to pack on a full makeup look.
I would describe this month´s look as minimalistic, light and glowy.
Easter Makeup Flatlay
Easter Makeup Close Up 1
Easter Makeup Close Up 2
Happy Easter everybody! I had the last week off which wasn´t as relaxing as you might think it was, basically it was lots of revision and no make up at all.
So now that it is easter I took it as a great opportunity to put on a full face, but not in a full coverage heavy foundation but more a lightweight glowy base, lots of highlighter and some pink details.
Hello and welcome Spring! Nice to see you again.
Today it´s finally spring and since I have already transformed my whole daily makeup look into something lighter, with less coverage and pinky/nude shades on my lips and eyes, it´s now time to do the same with nails.
I´m not one of those girls who constantly has her nails freshly painted and has the perfect shape, in fact I have really small, short, weirdly formed ones that could use a manicure every now and then.
Night-Out Proof Makeup Look
Night-Out Proof Makeup Look 1
Night-Out Proof Makeup Look 2
Another week is over and we can all now concentrate on the probably most important question that pops up every Friday and/or Saturday night, where is the next big party and how can I look the best?
Going out or especially going to a club can get really sweaty, lots of people in the same room and dancing like you don´t care (be honest, we all do) is never a good combo, however for some weird reason people want to take pictures when you already feel like your make up is gone or doesn´t look picture worthy anymore and your forehead could be used as a reflector, am I right?
4 All Time Favourite Mascaras
Bobbi Brown, Maybelline, Benefit Mascaras
Mascara has to be one of my favourite makeup items. Simply because it can completely change the way your makeup looks! Remember how scary it looks when you´re done filling in your brows and it looks like you took a sharpie and drew on two thick lines? Mascara evens that out and moves the attention from your brows to your eyes, that look a lot bigger and even better ,if I´m allowed to say so, with the right mascara.
We all know how many different mascaras there are on the market, and they all have different purposes, voluminous lashes, longer lashes, spider lashes, etc.
I tested a good amount of different ones and have now picked my 4 all time favourites that I would immediatly pick up again.
Valentines Day Inspired Makeup Flatlay
NYX, MAC, Maybelline, Zoeva Valentines Day Makeup Close Up
Revlon, MAC, Maybelline, Chloé, Maybelline and Zoeva Valentines Day Makeup Closeup
It´s Valentines Day on Sunday and the first thing that comes up in my mind is red and pink hearts and all in one just a lot of love. You could say love is in the air... but no definitely not for everyone, haha. Now when you´re like me and don´t have a special someone to spend the day with you can still have a fun time going out with your girls and also put a lot of effort into your valentines themed look.
I´m a typical girl that can´t have enough pinky/rose tones, shimmer and glow in her makeup so I got everything together to create loads of different look that include these aspects more or less!

Base:
I find glowy skin is a must for this time, having dull tired skin could ruin the whole look. So I like to reach for a full coverage foundation, over my loved The Body Shop Instablur Primer, the MAC Studio Fix in NC15, blended it with my Real Techniques Buffin Brush it gives a natural look yet every blemish and redness is covered. To cover my dark under-eye area and to complete my base I blend in the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC15 with the same brush as my foundation.
Before I get my glow on I like to fix my T-Zone and make it matte as I´m not the biggest fan of shine everywhere, not only on my cheekbones, using the NYX Matte Finish Spray. A pink glowy highlighter practically screams to be used on Valentines Day and for that I like to reach for my newest love the Revlon Highlighter Palette in Rose Glow, to apply that I take a fluffy eyeshadow blending brush and swipe it across every shade and you literally get the most beautiful pinky glow you could imagine!

Eyes:
Before I get my eyeshadow on I fill in my eyebrows using this duo.
For eyes I have two options for you, one that is more pinky toned and one more red-y berry coloured. The pink option consists of the Astor Eyeshadow Stick in Chic Nude as a base and blended with stiffer blending brush to create a kinda smokey look. To add that before said shimmer to this look I take the same brush and a lot of MAC´s All That Glitter Eyeshadow and firstly tap in on my lid and then also into my crease.
The more red-y berry option is really quick and that would be to use the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate and tap that in with your finger and slightly blend it out to more of a cat-eye look. After that you could either leave it like that or apply some liquid eyeliner as a tiny cat flick my favourite for that has to be the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner.
Currently I´m all about long voluminous black lashes. For the voluminous part I use the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and work it mainly into the roots of my lashes, and then for extra length and even more volume I recently started using the Maybelline The Falsies Mascara. It has a really wet consistency so you would have to be careful with it, apart from when you´re a fan of spider lashes, haha :). The way to get the most of this mascara is to just blink through it, your lashes will get a lot longer!

Lips:
I do love a good red lip but it demands a lot of retouching throughout the day/night so this year I will go for a classic pinky-nude shade. I´m a huge fan of matte liquid lipsticks at the moment, so far I have only tried the Soft Matte Lip Creams from NYX and I really love them, a velvety texture that dries matte and lasts for a really long time. In the picture above I´ve got the shade Tokyo, a lovely light nude tone :)
Matte is definitely not something for everyone and for that I have two options both are nude and shiny. Two of my favourite lipsticks from MAC are, Cremecup with a Cremesheen finish and Angel with Satin Finish. If I would have to describe these two shades I would say they are those typicall "my lips but better" shades. They just add that hint of colour to your lips and stay on for quite a long time before disappearing evenly, so no worries about having to check very often.

Before I´m out the door I spritz the Chloé Love Story Perfume on and I´m good to go :)
