Ever since I started updating my blog more frequently, more and more amazing opportunities started landing in my inbox. That´s when I thought it was the right time to also start reaching out to brands I´d love to work with. Of course from my side it was important that the brands I worked with had products to offer that I´m hopefully going to enjoy using, from the brands side it´s important how many people they´ll reach while presenting their products through me.
To bundle all these important informations it´s really helpful to have a media kit to send with your email. I have to say, ever since I started sending my media kit out - the responses to my mails have been positive way more often!

Well at first creating a Media Kit sounded pretty much overwhelming to me, as I didn´t have clue how it´s supposed to look and what information is really important.
So, to make it easier for you I wrote down some tips:

Designing Your Media Kit

The easiest and free platform to creat your Media Kit is Canva!

You can basically create anything on this website - for the Media Kit though I´ve chosen the A4 Document. The next thing is choosing a Template, looking through it now it has taken me ages to find a template that looks very similar to mine, so as a little hint for you I searched for "Interview" and the fourth light blue one is really similar to the design I used for my Media Kit.
From here on it´s just really being creative and trying different things out.
I find it very pleasing to use the main colours from my blog, which are light pink, white and dark grey. As you can see I kept the whole design really simple with the background being white, the font is dark grey and column on the left side is light pink. If your Blog is on Blogger you can see in the Design section, which colour codes are used on your blog design, so that you can use these exact tones again.
Of course you can use as many pages as you´d like, but you´ve still got to use the space wisely. It should be easy to read, not overloaded and just give the brands a short overlook over your blog stats. Add a little personality by including a picture of yourself and one or two of your favourite pictures you´ve taken to show your photography style. What I also liked to do is add a little description of myself under my picture. Personally it´s always so much nicer to know a bit about your "business partner" and well it might give you some sympathy points, haha.
Just be creative and play around with different designs.

What Information Should Be Included?

Now that your Media Kit is all pretty, it´s time for business, haha.
I´ve got different "categories" of stats that I want to present to brands, such as Blog Stats, my Social Medias and the brands I´ve worked with before.
My Blog Stats are on the very top as they´re obviously by far the most important numbers. There are a few informations that should definitely be included, such as Unique Visitors, Page Views and
Average Comments Count per Post and Where your Readers Are From, these are the ones I have on my Media Kit but you can also include stats about the average age of your readers or if there are more females or males for example, it all depends on the brands you want to work with and the content you produce. It´s just so important that you please use all these numbers from Google Analytics and not from Blogger itself. I have to be honest I can´t tell you the reason why Blogger shows you different numbers than Google, but those from Google are (sadly) the real ones haha.

Following are my Social Media Followers, please just include every social media channel where you are present or have a presentable follower count, haha. I have for example every channel included besides Facebook, as I basically only have 4 followers there, so nothing to show.
You can find these little social media icons simply through Google, I think I got mine from there, but normally they should be easy to find.

On my Media Kit, the last category is Brands I´ve Previously Worked With. Let´s be honest we´re all proud of previous collaborations so why don´t "show it off"? I also have a category on my blog where you can see my collaborations, I think that way other brands can also see how I a possible collab can look like and what ideas I´ve had to display different products.

Now it really depends how far you´ve taken your Blog yet, but one more possible point you can include in your Media Kit are your Prices. I guess it´s by far easier to just show which price ranges you have in mind instead of waiting for the brands to make the first move or not knowing how to tell them what price you have in mind. That way they know right away if they are willing to pay that amount for your work, before you write lots of emails back and forth only to get nothing in the end.

So that´s how I´ve created my Media Kit!
I try to update it in the beginning of each month, so that it´s ready to be sent out right away with the newest stats.
If you have any further questions I´m very happy if I can help you! Xx

Some time ago I decided to give my room a little makeover.
The main reason for it was that I had the same furniture and decoration since a few years so I slowly became bored of it all.
My idea was to go for all white furniture and then add simple gold/rosé gold/pink accents to add some kind of personality to it. I really love a chic but still girly interior. I definitely had a clear vision of which decorations I wanted to buy, as I´ve got a lot of inspiration from places like Instagram or Pinterest, so I´ve started to scroll through lots of different interior/decoration online shops but most of them were definitely too expensive for the things I´d like to get - apart from H&M Home.

H&M Home has a huge selection of many different interior things, starting from furniture to decoration and even homeware! I really love that they have separated categories for each room and currently they also have their christmas range out (I´ve only just seen that so I´ll have to look through that immediately, haha). Back to my theme though, I scrolled through the shop and literally found so many lovely things for a reasonable price, that I had to sort out my shopping basked in the end as I definitely didn´t need everything I had selected.

In the end I went for the following things:

Flower Pot in Copper

On top of my list was definitely a nice plant. Not only is it good for the air in my room but also adds a nice fresh touch to it. As I didn´t want to get a boring white flower pot I got a beautiful one in copper. It looks really nice, like not too copper-y, I find it tends to look more rosé gold. For 15€ you can´t go wrong wih it. The quality is suprisingly good and it´s the perfect size to put it on a shelf or sideboard. The plant I put in it is from a local garden center though, don´t ask me what kind of plant it is, I just picked it cause it fits into the pot and looks pretty, haha.

Pillow Cases

Then I also got two new pillow cases, one in white with little pom poms around it and one in light pink. I don´t really use these pillows to sleep with them. but rather I put them on the other end of my bed to not make it look empty there. They fit really well with most of my bedding and in case I get bored of them again, they can always be replaced or switched haha. One costs around 15€ but again the quality is really nice. They feel soft but aren´t see through and easy to clean.

Metall Tealight-Holder

I actually prefer to buy huge candles in nice glasses but this tealight-holder was a purchase with the idea of just filling empty space with it, haha. I though it was pretty cute, fitted my new theme and could also be used as photo prop, so I could only with with it. It´s pretty much the same colour as the flower pot, more on the rosé gold side and again for only 6€ it´s totally fine. I´m really happy with the colour of these two as it´s not flaking nor does it look streaky or badly painted.

Leaf-Shaped Tray

To always have my most worn jewellry on display and quick to put on, I´ve got this leaf-shaped tray in pink. It looks unbelievably cute and is really the perfect size to fit most of my jewellry. I´ve noticed most of the things I´ve got are also perfect for blog photos and this one too, haha. I also like the colour of it, as it´s quite pink but not too much, it still fits with the other products I got.

Tin with Relief Pattern

When I saw this tin I knew I had to get it as I just love everything about it. The colour is perfect, it has a little golden detail, the pattern is really cute and it has a good size to store little things in it. To be honest though, right now it´s still empty and just looks pretty on my shelf. I might put some tealights in it for my tealight holder but we´ll see. Also I´ve never heard of a pattern like that but it´s something unique and kinda makes it look vintage? Like it could be a jewel case.

High Stoneware Vase

It was love at first sight with this vase too. I simply love it. It looks like very high quality and fits very well with almost every other colour. Right now it´s still empty as it´s not as high as I thought it would be, so I´m still thinking about what to put in there, but very high up on my list is pampas. It would fit perfectly with the vase, so I´m going to look out for them the next time I go to a flower shop. I also hope it´s even possible to get twigs in this height, haha.

Little Metal Tray

Last but not least I got a little golden metal tray to keep my perfume bottles in place. I tried to put them all on the shelf but that way it kinda looked like they were randomly put there, with the tray underneath though it looks a lot better, or let´s say it looks like I´ve actually put thought in it. Underneath the tray are four rubber dots, so that the tray stays in place and can not be accidentaly pushed down. The colour is a sublte golden shade, not too yellow. I was first worried as it´s the only bigger golden decor I have, but it matches really good with the copper and pink shades.

All in one I´m really happy with the products I picked and got. It was my very first order from H&M Home but as I already said quite some times now, the quality is really good and the pieces arrived safely and really quick. It´s definitely not the last time I´ve placed an order there.

What theme did you go for in your flat/room? Where do you like to buy your interior/decor bits?

Delicate Jewelry - JewelryQueen
Until recently, I didn't wear jewellery at all.
Don't ask me why, somehow I didn't like it and never felt comfortable with it.
On the other girls, no matter which jewelry they wore, whether it was fine or larger statement jewelry, it always looked really beautiful - but well in my eyes not on me haha

After a while of browsing through Instagram and Pinterest, I bought some statement earrings haha. I know it's exactly the opposite of what I firstly said, but I thought Go Big or Go Home hahaha.
I always liked the idea, when you wear something simple and then just wear big earrings, but my collection of statement earrings stopped after the 2 pairs - for now, as I still very rarely wear them.

But when I came across the Instagram account of JewelryQueen I thought, ok come try it again with some decent jewellery that I can wear every day, it can't look that bad.

JewelryQueen has a lot of very nice jewellery, most of the pieces are kept rather simple, but that's very trendy anyway.
From necklaces, earrings, rings, ear cuffs, watches and now also scrunchies everything is there.
What I particularly like is that there are often new jewellery, but also that they are usually also available in gold, silver and rose gold, mega!

I was very lucky and was allowed to choose a few pieces again and again and I have to say the quality is really great! All items look exactly the same as on the pictures (which is sometimes not the case with other online shops) and as I said for the prices, I really have nothing to complain about. They are perfect for people like me who want to wear decent jewellery. In the beginning I could hardly decide what I would like to have, because I suddenly liked them all a lot and that made me want to be a little more " brave " and to add jewelry to my outfits.
Delicate Jewelry - JewelryQueen
By now I have a small collection of pieces of jewellery to which I really regularly reach for. As you can see, these are mostly earrings and a mega cute arm bangle.
I chose this one in pink gold and I love it so much.
It is small but fine, easy to combine with other bracelets and really fits to everything! Whether it's an elegant evening look or a very simple casual jeans and a nice top outfit, the bangle adds that extra something.

Now to my favorite earrings.
I found the Simple Studs really cool right away - I don't think it could be any more subtle. Somehow they are hardly visible, because there are really only two silver lines on the ear but nevertheless they still spice up a boring outfit somehow.
The Double Hoops on the other hand are real eye-catchers! The smaller Hoop is kept quite simple and the larger one is rather ribbed, which makes this pair look so playful but still elegant. With these pieces of jewellery you don't need much other jewellery than a cute ring or a bracelet.

Delicate Jewelry - JewelryQueen
My absolute favourite, which I also wear the most by far, are the Pearl Studs.
Everyone needs them, without exceptions. I don't think there is a more classic, more elegant, more timeless piece of jewellery. Just like the other earrings, they add a certain touch to any outfit, but this pair is still something very special because it is this classic piece of jewellery.

All earrings are also very comfortable to wear, I don't like it when the ears just pinch or squeeze after a while, because the quality of the earrings leaves much to be desired, but with these everything is fine. Easy to put in and put out and as I said the wearing comfort is very satisfying.

My Favourites:

Are you the more decent or the statement type when it comes to jewellery?

How I Edit My Blog & Instagram Pictures
The photography part is definitely my absolute favourite part in the progress of creating new content for my blog. Even though it can get quite frustrating sometimes I also find it soo satisfying when the outcome is just as I imagined it to look!
Of course editing the pictures plays a huge part in the whole process and it actually took me quite a while to find a program/app that works well for me and offers all the tool that I need to edit my pictures in the style I want.
The problem in this whole thing was that most bloggers that I follow use Lightroom to edit their pictures and as I was not willing to pay for it, I had to keep searching for a similar one, and I think I have finally found a website that works just perfectly for me!
How I Edit My Blog & Instagram Pictures

BeFunky

I´ve tried myself through a whole lot of different free editing programs and the one that I always went back to and been using since easily a year or more now is BeFunky.
I´ve always found it hard to control how much of an effect you want to have on your pictures or it was really hard to keep your pictures looking natural and not overly done. Like for example you want to make your pictures brighter, and some programs just add that very weird looking grey film over it, and stuff like that was soo frustrating to me, haha.
With BeFunky I don´t have any of these problems. It took me a while to find a good selection of tools to make my pictures look the way they do now and I also think that I´ve finally mastered to figure out how much I need of each tool to make my pictures look how I like (actually really adore) them!
The tools that I use are...

Sharpening Tool - Even though I already get quite sharp pictures with my camera alone, I like to add some more sharpness manually to make them like crispy sharp haha. When you click on this tool it automatically adds 20% sharpness which I find is totally enough, sometimes I go up to 30% but never more than that
Color - I´ve only recently discovered this tool and it literally has changed my picture game to the better - like I swear it´s my life saver sometimes. As you can tell by its name, this tool will help you with the colours of your photos. I like to up Saturation to about 7. Saturation will make the colours in your picture more intensive which is just amazing if I have to brighten my pictures up a lot, that way I can kinda even it out a bit. Then I also really like to use Temperature. Before I used it to make my photos look basically white but now I like to use it to add a bit of warmth to it. I vary between 1-3 which works really well for my style.
Exposure - And lastly I add the finishing touches by turning up the Brightness to 10-20 depending on the brightness of my picture. Then add Contrast to 15, not sure of the affect of it but I guess it also makes my pictures a bit more intense. If the brightness has made my pictures not bright enough yet I add a bit of the Highlights - but only really about up to 5 as with this one you can really make your pictures totally unnatural.

Here you can see the before and after of the picture to this post - where I used all of the tools above:
BeFunky

SnapSeed

Now we come to what I use to edit my Instagram picture. I had this app on my phone for ages before actually getting into it and understanding how to use it. Inthefrow´s pictures got me motivated and excited to use this app more frequently and properly - cause let´s be her instagram feed is absolute goals. I love this app to bits as it´s just super easy, has sooooo many tools and options that you can play around with. I recently found myself just uploading random pictures to it and playing around with different editing styles and the results are literally out of this world!
Snapseed
Here you can see what I mean, just look how intense the colours got and how sharp and good the quality is. Just for your information, I took this picture with my phone through a quite dirty window of one of these sightseeing buses. I don´t think you would expect that after I´m done with editing.

I use the following tools...

Tune - It´s the one on the upper left corner on the tool page and there you can adjust things like brightness, contrast, saturation, ambiance, temperature, etc.. How much I use of each of these things always varies on the quality of the picture. I always try around and see how I like it the most.
Details - Here I adjust the Structure to about 20 and the Sharpness to 15, it still looks very natural then but you get a clear and sharp image
Spot Repair - I love this tool! If you have a blemish or you didn´t notice your photo background was dirty you can just paint over it with this tool and it will dissapear perfectly. Again it´s something you have to play around with to get the hang of it, but once you do, you´ll love it!

What do you use to edit your pictures?

CaseApp
Now that I´ve updated my makeup collection to spring approved products, it´s now also time to update my "accessorizes" - aka my phone.

I´m not a girl who wears a lot of accessorizes or jewellery so I kinda have to use my phone or rather the phone cases that I put on my phone to add a little something to my every day looks.
I absolutely love buying phone cases, whether it´s really simple ones, seasonal ones - especially christmas phone cases! they can´t be cheesy enough, haha - or creating personal ones for either myself or my friends - it´s just a really cool and thoughtful gift.

If you are anything like me in this point - or simply just want to redecorate your phone - I think I have just the right shop for you....
CaseApp

CaseApp

CaseApp is an online shop that specifies on all things about smartphone, tablets and macbook cases and skins. They offer a huge selection of cases and skins for iPhones, Samsung Galaxy, iPods, iPads and Macbooks, so I´m pretty sure almost all of us will find something fitting for their device - they even offer their designs for iPhone 3 which is very suprising but also very cool, haha.

Now to the designs, their offer of different predesigned cases is just amazing and it was soo hard for me to decide on three phone cases. I definitely wanted some that not only look cute but also kinda fit into the colour scheme of my pictures so that I could also use them as blog props.
Scrolling through their designs I found varities of marble, flower, fruits, art-y, animals and many other designs.

They do not only offer pre designed cases though, you can also design your very own phone cases and skins for your devices - and also even for your phone holder, how exciting is that!
Creating them is literally so easy aswell, all you need to do is select your device, upload a picture of your choice - or even more pictures as it´s also possible to create collages - and if you want you can also add a texts, cliparts or a background to the design.

Definitely a lot of space to let all your creativity out and create something very special and unique!

Now that you´re done with designing, there´s one last step you can decide on, do you want your case to be matte or shiny? Haha.

The design gets printed onto the case so it has a really good quality, and I´m pretty sure the print won´t rub off my phone cases really soon - which is something that happens quite often with cheaper options. Especially in the summer months when I get sweaty or oily hands.

CaseApp offered me to select three phone cases, as I thought not only I should have the chance to give my phone a little makeover, I made my mum and sister select one for each of them aswell.
In the end I went for the phone case with little plants on them, I already got a lot of compliments for it and it will definitely appear in loads of future blog posts as it fits just perfectly with my theme! My mum went for the marble design with the pink corner, which I think is really cool, simple and yet has a kinda girly touch to it with the pink detail.
My sister went for the gold rosé kinda marble design. Again really cool and so unique, like I´ve never seen a phone case like that!

Do you want to get a phone case or skin yourself now?

I also got the chance to give a lovely discount of 20% on your order with the code LAURA2018
Apply it during checkout and save yourself some pennies ;)

You can find the shop this way: https://caseapp.de/

Please make sure to show me the phone cases you get or create by tagging me on the pictures of them on Instagram! I´m really curious to see what you all selected in the end :)

Cupper Teas
Cupper Teas
Creating good quality content not only needs a lot of inspiration and motivation but also an atmosphere where you can be productive and concentrate.
With atmosphere I don´t only mean your working place but also the things surrounding you.
When I´m writing up blog posts I often do that on my sofa or on my bed which works perfectly fine for me, the only things that keep disturbing me are little things like my phone, thirst, etc.

So, I got together with Cupper Tea to spill a few of my tips on how to create a productive atmosphere.

Shortly about the brand Cupper Teas, they are an original british tea company that was founded 1984 in Dorset - and are also UK´s first Fairtrade tea company.
What makes them so different from many other tea companies is that their tea bags are unbleached - unlike other bright white tea bags, their ones have a slight yellow-y shade to them, it doesn´t look disgusting though so don´t worry, I barely noticed the colour difference when I made my first cup.

As a tea lover, I think it´s really cool to find a tea company that not only pays attention to being fairtrade in their teas but also pays attention to little details as also being natural with their tea bags.

They sent me four packages of their tea to try, which leads me to my first tip for an productive atmosphere...

Enough Drinks & Snacks

I find myself being a lot easier able to concentrate when I´m hydrated, so before I start "working" I get myself something to drink. Water is definitely the healthiest option, but I like to go for something sweeter, like juices or during the colder months - a nice hot cup of tea.
Recently I quite enjoyed to make myself a cup of tea - preferably the Cranberry & Raspberry tea from Cupper Teas - and just let it cool off to get kind of an ice tea. Sooo refreshing and yummy!
Whatever you like to drink, make sure you have enough of it next to you - I find when I don´t have something to drink with me from the beginning I´m too lazy to get up after, haha.
Snacks are a nice addition as I sometimes just get random cravings that need to be taken care of, haha. Sometimes it´s sweets, or fruits or pastry, whatever it is I´ll most likely thank myself for thinking ahead haha.

Writing a To-Do List

I leave all the blog work until the weekend so as you can imagine there´s definitely a lot of things I have to get done when the time comes around - taking photos for several posts, for instagram, writing up posts, commenting on other blog posts, answering email, etc.
All of this can get quite overwhelming when I have to remember everything so to make things easier for myself I write up a to-do list. I just feel a lot more in peace and not as stressed when I can tick off things and also feel so happy when I can actually see what I got done that day.
I´d also like to start getting more into planners just to also be able to plan week aheads and so take the stress off worrying about not having any ideas for future blog posts

Tidy Space

When I find myself actually working at my desk I try to keep it as tidy as possible.
I absolutel hate it when my working space is full of papers and stuff as I can´t really concentrate since I keep being distracted by everything that lays around.
Of course you don´t have to put everything away from your table but you should clean it up to the point where you feel comfortable, have enough space to move around and the only thing you concentrate on is your computer. I just recently cleaned my desk at work and I felt immediately so much better and my mind wasn´t feeling as crowded as it was before.

Put Your Phone Out Of Reach

I left the most important point until the end. In order to actually get something done you have to put your phone away - atleast out of arm-reach.
Whenever I find myself back on my phone, scrolling through my Instagram feed for the hundredth time, I wonder how much I would have gotten done if I would not keep reaching for my phone.
It´s just so addictive to keep looking through social media and seeing what everyone else is up to - you might have heard of it but the Fear Of Missing Out is taking up so much of our daily life, it´s actually scary once you think more about it.
When I do put my phone away I find myself being so much more productive, so what I do to make sure I don´t actually miss out on any text messages or phone calls - as I find myself being distracted only by social media - is turn off the mute mode and put it anywhere where I could easily reach it when I get up. That way I can still check on it but don´t mindlessly reach for it and look through all the feeds.

Even though all these tips are sooo simple, I find they are the most effective.
We get distracted and overwhelmed with daily things soo easily, so it´s even more important to take over control of as much as you can and keep a clear head.

What are your tips for creating a productive atmosphere?

New In: Homeware
New In: Homeware
Interior has become more and more interesting to me lately - mainly because of those absolutely gorgeous flats some bloggers show on their Instagram.
And so one of my main plans for 2018 is to redecorate my whole room, so it might get just as instagram-able, haha. My colour scheme for my "new" room is white, grey, light/pastel pink and, of course, rosé gold/copper accents.
In my imagination, it´s gonna look absolutely amazing, the only thing to do now is find exactly these furnitures and decorations that I´m thinking off.
So far I´ve found the following things...

Desenio Print

I discovered Desenio through one of Maria´s Instagram pictures, and I absolutely loved the look of her prints and so straight off ordered one for myself.
They have a huge selection of different themes - such as cities, beauty, flowers, etc. - in many different sizes. So you can either pick a huge one like me 50 x 70cm, or a small one for your desk. Together with the print you can also select a frame to go with it.
I choose a copper one - what a suprise - together with a beautiful, inspiring quote written in pink. I think they fit together really well and are gonna set a nice accent to my mainly white and bright room.
New In: Homeware

Maisons Du Monde Decorations

While browsing through the internet - actually searching for a new pastel pink chair for my desk - when I stumbled across the online shop of Maisons Du Monde!
I straight off found a lot of things that would fit perfectly in my room, and so when I even saw that they had a store close to me I just had to go there.
First thing I´ve found was a rosé gold mirror, with a little pink plattform underneath, I store my few bits of jewellry that I have and daily skincare products there, looks a lot more organized than before haha.
Then I also found a copper "moodboard", where I can pin all different types of things on it, so of course to go with the board I got matching copper clips. As soon as I bought my new furniture I´ll hang it up!
The last thing I got, isn´t really decoration but I just needed - like really needed - to get it, it´s a really cool mug with like a lid to go with it. As someone who always forgets about their tea, and only remembers when it´s already cold again, this will be a total lifesaver, haha.
New In: Homeware

Mini Plants and Pots

And last I finally invested in some plants - for the first time in my life.
I decided to go for mini plants to put up on my desk - and most importantly, ones that don´t need a lot looking after. I got both, the cactus and the other plant at IKEA for only 3€ including those really cute light pink pots. Not only do they look really cool on my desk, but also make great blog props - even though I´ve already scratched my hand on the cactus quite often, haha.
The other "Just Wing it" Pot is from Primark, but I got it quite a long time ago - sometime back in October - so I´m not really sure if it´s still available. It´s the perfect size to hold my eyemakeup brushes and also works really well with my ongoing colour scheme.

Do you pay a lot of attention into your interior? Any homeware bits that you bought lately?

It took me quite a while to write up this post, as I really wanted to set myself realistic goals, that I have influence in, whether I accomplish them or not.
With that I mean, this year I didn´t set myself a goal to reach a certain amount of followers on a social media platform, because I already know that it´s just gonna end in self-pity, but rather concentrate myself on things that will (hopefully) bring some changes into my blog and make it more fun for you to read :)

I also feel like finally doing all the things I´ve been pushing in front of me, life wise.
They won´t change my life a lot but just bring more happiness into it, more memories, and more motivation to live life to the fullest (eh, sounds really cliché, doesn´t it?)

I´d say we should start with this year´s blog goals:

Get a New Header and Media Kit

This basically has the aim of developing my blog. If you have noticed I have finally customized my blog, I added some pink and grey accents, and now my new header should add the last bit to perfection the appearance of my blog. The lovely Laura from laurzrah.com is currently creating my new header and I´m more than excited to see the result!
She´s also does Media Kits which I´m still thinking about to get. In case you don´t know what a Media Kit is, it´s a summary of your work, stats, etc. which makes it easier for e.g. brands to have a overlook over your blog. It would definitely make, introducing myself to brands easier, but for now I´ll concentrate on creating quality content :)

Blog Regulary

In order to get somewhere with my blog I need to be more presence, and to achieve exactly that I plan to post at least 3 times per week. I´ve got quite a lot of posts saved in my drafts, mainly beauty related, but also a bit of lifestyle and even travel posts, so definitely keep an eye out for them!

More Lifestyle Posts

To make my blog more interesting to read and versatile, I´m planning to include some more lifestyle posts. I do have some ideas but not a lot so please tell me what you´d want to read and I´ll definitely keep an eye out for inspiration aswell, haha :)

Include More Pictures of Myself

More and more blogger girls that I´m following, start to post more pictures of themselves, and I absolutely love that! It brings freshness into the posts and makes the whole blog kinda more personal (if you know what I mean, haha). I´m not only going to post more pictures of myself on here but also on Instagram, which brings me to directly to my next blog goal...

Post More Often On Instagram

Right now I only use my Instagram to promote my blog posts, but I want to start posting more snippets of my daily life, give you all a little insight of what I´m up to when I´m not working. Let´s see if I´ll get to take actually instagram worthy pictures or use Insta Story more, but I´ll definitely be on there more often :)

Shot in Natural Light

Right now I´m always using my Sigma Flash to make my pictures brighter while shooting, it has been a really good and easy way to go but I do find that sometimes my pictures look kinda artifical. I definitely want to try shooting in natural light, to see the difference, and whether I like it and maybe make my pictures better than they are at the moment.

and continue with the life goals:

Redecorate My Room

I´m semi happy with how my room looks like at the moment. It´s a mixture of light brown wooden and white furniture, and I would like to put only white furniture in, with some rosé gold and grey accents. I´m definitely taking a lot of inspiration for that from Instagram and Pinterest, so please let me know some account with gorgeous flats, interior designs, etc. I´ve actually planned to redecorate since last year, but it´s just sooo expensive to buy everything new, so hopefully this year I´ll finally get to it.

Travel More

Is it even a proper yearly goals post, if you don´t include this point?
Well I gotta fill a bloggers cliché sometimes, and say this year I want to travel to new places. Set goals are for now only London in March/April, which I´m more than excited about. It´ll be my 3rd time there, but it´s just one of my favourites cities ever! Other than that I´d like to go to Spain or Greece for my summer holiday, and maybe to Italy for NYE. Other than that I hope I find some nice offers for trips to take over a longer weekend!

Go Out More Often

Hopefully I´m not alone on this opinion, but I stay at home way too often and barely get my ass up and out of the house. I definitely want to do more things outside, even if it´s just to go out for a coffee or a walk over the fields. I´ll definitely go out more often in 2018, haha.

Discover Beautiful Places Near Me

This kinda sticks together with going out more often, but I think at the beginning of last year I found a post on bloglovin about places to eat in Munich, and they looked all so good, that I definitely want to go and try them out myself. Maybe find some blogger hot spots in my city and just appreciate my surroundings more this year :)

Buy A New Laptop

This is for sure a point that needs to be accomplished this year, haha. Right now I got a really small pink notebook (not even laptop) from ASUS. It´s definitely a good laptop, but I can´t even edit my pictures on it, because 1.the screen is too small and 2. it takes ages until it loads the pages. I always use my parents laptop for editing so it´s definitely time to invest in a new one.

Take More Pictures

You might have noticed that a lot of people have posted a review of 2017, around NYE. This thing made me realise that in 2018 I definitely need to start taking more pictures when I´m out somewhere. I don´t know why I´m so bad at taking pictures, but this issue definitely needs to change this year, haha.

What are your plans and goals for 2018?

Last Sunday I got the chance to attend my very first Blogger Event, and I was beyond excited! The event I got invited to was the "Trendmeister - Beauty Collection 2017"
I never heard of this event before, but after quickly googling what it was on about, I thought it would be a chilled event to start with.

It got held at the Rocco Forte The Charles Hotel in Munich, a really beautiful location, with really nice food, drinks and loads of well-known, but also new brands to discover.
Another idea that I thought was really great was that at the start you got a huge empty bag and to fill it, you´d have to go to each brands, chat with the people there, get to know more about their products and collect some goodies.
Let me tell you, when I got home my bag was more than full!

The brands that were presented at the event were: KIKO, Coach, Davines, Splat, DaVinci, Bell HYPOAllergenic, Gertraud Gruber and Rocco Forte The Charles Spa.
Sounds pretty good, and so be prepared for some new content including products from these brands...

For now I´ll just show you some shots from the day:

Thank you again to Hanna for inviting me, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of it :)

The beach is just one of the best places on earth, and I´m so sad that my one week holiday is nearly over and I have to go back home again. During this week I honestly always took the same things with me, some things for entertaiment, some things for protection from the sun and some things just as accessorize cause we can´t look bad at the beach right? haha. I thought I would leave the standard things such as suncream away from this post and only show you the following essentials...

ENTERTAIMENT...

to keep me entertained all I need is my phone, my headphones and my camera.
I have to be honest and say I didn´t take a book with me, simply because I´m probably one of the laziest people when it comes to reading, I just don´t like it and so I would rather lay back and listen to some good music, play some games or just scroll through social media. Of course that´s not everything I´m gonna do, but I´m also gonna walk around the beach and try to take some nice shots, which I´ll be sharing with you all when I get back home next week, so be excited for them... :)

...& OTHER THINGS

well I practically everything else I need is a pretty pair of sandals, which I can quickly get out of, to jump into the water haha. The ones above were from Vero Moda, and are sooo comfortable! I´ve been on the hunt for a new pair of pretty sandals for a while now and these ones are just perfect and absolutely gorgeous (if I might say so about my own things, haha).
Continuing being stylish, I also took my silver sunglasses with me. My mum bought them for me at a little shop in Crete and I love them, an absolute bargain for only 10€!
It was absolutely hot the whole week, so to get as much colder air as possible I took this fan with me, which I got in my last holiday in Croatia.
When I get up to get some drinks or food I prefer to cover myself up, but instead of always putting my clothes back on, I have this white tunic from Primark with me. Quick to put on, covers me a bit from the sun and makes me feel a lot more comfortable.
Speaking of covering from the sun, to cover my head and hair from the heat, I´ve got a black cap from Nike. It can look soo cool and just suits me better than a straw hat, haha.
A lot of people seem to forget about the fact that your lips can get sunburned aswell, and since I don´t want to be in such pain I´ve got this little sun lip balm from a german drugstore. It stays on for so long, is nearly invisible and keeps my lips very hydrated.

When you go to the beach, what things do you definitely need to take with you?

Flatlay Props
My absolute favourite part of the whole blogging process is taking pictures.
I have found myself getting more and more creative, in my camera settings, in the things and in the way how I arrange the items I want to photograph, and also what I want to use as "space fillers" or "props" in my flatlay. If you ask me, I find there´s noting worse than a picture that just looks kinda empty. I like it when it´s filled, but not too much so it
doesn´t irritate you. At the end it just needs to be aesthetically pleasing, hahaha.
To achieve that kind of effect, I have collected a few things over the last time that you may have seen in my previous pictures, and here they are...

LAYERS

Layers as in scarfs, wooden boards, blankets, notebooks, etc. make such a difference in how the picture looks and simply fills up space that might look naked otherwise and also helps you to guide the attention to certain products you want to show off. I got this baby pink scarf from Reserved some time ago and since it´s too thin for me to actually wear I always use it in my pictures. I find it automatically adds a colour scheme to the picture and since I´m all about pink/rosé gold/copper for my pictures this scarf is just perfect.
I have some examples in these posts: scarf, wooden board, blanket

FLOWERS/PETALS

I´m an absolute sucker for using flowers or petals in pictures. I find it adds that certain girliness and lightness to the images. If you are lucky enough to have fresh flowers in your home most of the times then please do use them! You can definitely see if someone using fresh flowers or plastic ones, and I´m definitely jealous of those who use fresh ones, haha. I have to be honest though and say mine are fake ones, the white flowers are from Depot, and the petals are from the supermarket and were supposed to be used as dinner table decorations.

OTHER MAKEUP PRODUCTS/TOOLS

These are honestly my favourite flatlay props, as I literally have sooooo many of them and I´m able to use them in sooo many ways. I generally always stick to my rosé golden lash curler and kabuki brush, as they fit so well with the pink scarf. Together with them I simply look through my makeup collection and see what I can find. The most popular items are mascaras (especially the Maybelline LashSensational), lipsticks, nail polishes, eyeshadows and false lashes.

HOME DECOR

Right after makeup, home decor is my 2nd favourite thing to purchase. Spending a lot of time strolling through Pinterest has definitely taken it´s toll on me, and if I could I would need hundreds of rooms to really buy every decorations that I have swon over because of Pinterest pictures, haha. So if I want to use home decor in my flatlays I simply look through my flat what we have and collect everything that seems like it might look good.
The best brands to buy these things from are Primark (the rosé golden basked and eyelash curler are from there), H&M & Zara Home, Urban Outfitters, Depot, etc.

What do you like to use in your flatlays? And from where do you get your inspirations for your photography?
