My First Clinique Skincare Bits

Hard to believe but until recently I´ve never tried any skincare products from Clinique before.
With my skin being left really dry and flaky from the - finally over - winter months, and me not owning a moisturizer for the mornings or an eyecream for the longest time, I thought now would be a good time to try Clinique.

I was always really unsure of what I should purchase from their huge range, but I feel like I made a good decision with going with the following two goodies...

Moisture Surge

I´m very picky when it comes to my morning moisturizers - which was probably the reason why it took me so long to get a new one. I wanted one that is very hydrating, but doesn´t have a thick creamy consistency like my night cream. Well, I could have gone for any gel-based moisturizer then, but those are often too watery and don´t do much of a difference to my skin.
When I saw more and more girls saying how much they love this Moisture Surge from Clinique, I thought it was definitely worth a try.
So this moisturizer is oil-free, intensively hydrating and has a special aloe water in it, which lets fine lines and dryness wrinkles dissapear in seconds! On top it helps the skin to adapt better to changing temperatures, amazing for this time of the year!
I have noticed pretty quickly that my skin has become a lot finer and even looking, my pores have become a lot smaller aswell, which you can imagine is an absolute dream for going makeup free.
It´s now properly hydrated which I can that see everyday when I apply makeup as it sits a lot better, and just looks a lot more even and just better, haha.
Coming back to the consistency of this moisturizer. I find, even though it´s a gel-based one, it´s quite thick, yet sinks in pretty fast, so I apply it straight after I´ve washed my face in the morning and by the time I´m dressed it has sunk completely in.
That same moisturizer is also available in an intense version, for that extra dry skin,
I guess I´ll invest in this one at the end of the year to already prepare my skin for the cold.
Definitely a good choice that I´ve made here, haha.

Pep-Start Eye Cream

I might have said that I have a quite dark under-eye area about a trillion times already, but the winter has only made it worse - now it wasn´t only dark but also red cause my skin got so dry...
I knew I had to do something about it, cause I just couldn´t imagine going out of the house without any kind of makeup on. Again there were about a billion of different eye creams on the market but I remembered how everyone loved the pep-start eye cream when it was freshly out, so I invested in this one. I now use it every night after taking my makeup off and I can notice a slight difference already. My under-eye area is still quite dark but a lot better already than in the past.
This eye cream is also gel-based but a lot more watery than the moisturizer, which is actually totally fine cause it still does it´s job and I don´t look like I haven´t slept in a few weeks, haha.
As you can see it has like a ball thing as applicator, which I use to spread and massage the cream into my skin. I might try to put it into the fridge before applying it, so it also reduces that puffiness under my eyes. All in one it is a good product, I can´t say if it´s the best eye cream that you´ve ever tried in your life cause I don´t have anything to compare it to, but from what I can see so far, it does its job and I´m quite happy with it!

Have you tried anything from Clinique yet? What did you try? And did you like it?

Another lady that I´m really excited to have on my blog is Caroline from Iridescentplaces!
I absolutely love her blog and it´s definitely worth a follow so don´t miss out :)

Choosing a blush for Summer is definitely one of the hardest tasks for me. I'm always looking for a shade that compliments my skin tone and one that actually stays on in the heat. This means I tend to go for very pink/peach shaded blushers and I've got three which are a must to have in your collection!

When you are reading this I´m already on a sandy beach somewhere in Croatia, and as I already said in the post before, I asked 7 bloggers to guest blog for me while I´m away.
The first one is Emily from "British Beauty Addict".
After reading this fab post of her, please check out her blog and social media´s which I linked down below :)

I've always been one to double cleanse in the evening, but I've never been particularly loyal to any particular set of products. But as of late my evening skincare routine has remained a constant and every evening I like to take 10 minutes or so to reset my skin; especially since starting my new job in London - sooty skin doesn't make for happy pores! So today I wanted to share my second part to my skincare trilogy; my evening skincare routine...

I´m lazy. That´s just how it is and I really do not have a problem with that fact about me. I like to keep things really simple and doable without much effort sometimes. I still get my stuff done in time and completely fine so why change that? Haha :)
Even though I do like to spend a good hour while applying my makeup for the day/night, there are some days where I would rather use my time with spending some extra minutes in bed, and only want to use those things that don´t need a lot of extra steps but still look good!

We all have those products that we love endlessly and think that we couldn´t live without them! Somehow they end up in the back of our makeup stash anyway.
I rummaged through mine and found 4 products that I´m starting to really love and using more often again.

Sleek Cream Blush Palette "Californ.i.a"
This palette was my first cream blush(ers), so how you can imagine I was really excited to use it! After a few uses though, I started to get little pimples along the way I had applied this blush the previous day, so I was very dissapointed and even a bit scared to apply one of these blushers again. However, this summer I thought I would give it another try and this time nothing happened!!! I´m so glad I can use this palette again as you can see, the colours are absolutely stunning and have such a nice pigmentation.

& MAC 130SE Brush:
The Brush was the biggest dissapointment at first! I got it in a set with three other MAC brushes around christmas time as one of their special offers. I was sooooooo excited and used it at first as a foundation brush, until it lost some of its hair and they stuck to my face together with my foundation. It got all dusty in my brush holder, until I read a blogpost saying that this brush is THE brush for cream blushers, so this blush basically just got a new usage...

Clinique Chubby Stick "06 Whoopin´ Watermelon"
I´m one of those girls that hoards millions of lip products and also always buys new ones, even though I really don´t need them and this is bascially what happened with this chubby stick. I got it because I had a voucher for a local drugstore and wanted this lip balm for quite a while. I got it, bought afterwards loads of other products and forgot about this one not long after. I recently found it again and saw that it is the perfect summer shade and also soooo moisturizing!

NYX Love in Paris "Merci Beaucoup" Eyeshadow Palette
I can still remember the day I bought this palette, after seeing it in one of Bethany Mota´s Tutorials. If I rememeber correctly this was my second eyeshadow palette, that´s why I hadn´t that much experience yet, so I really didn´t know how to get use of this palette. This, however changed over the last year and I´m using it sooo often nowadays. In this palette you really get a nice collection of shades, which all are highly pigmented. I would really recommend this one!

Are you re-loving any products? Which products have you recently re-discovered?
