Unbelievable how long it has been since the summer has ended again, as soon as you get used to the hot temperatures, it gets colder again and unfortunately the days get shorter again...
As September has still been quite warm, I didn´t feel like changing up my makeup routine any time soon, but now I´m slowly switching a few products!

I have to say that in terms of makeup, the transition from summer to autumn is definitely a very fun thing. In summer I really don't wear much makeup, of course because of the temperatures, so I'm very happy to finally be able to reach a little deeper into the drawer again and put on a little more makeup.
In the beginning there are really only small changes for me, for example I can finally wear Foundation again, as well as eyeshadow and eyeliner. Nevertheless, I stay with lighter nude tones before I switch to cooler brown tones.

The following products are therefore currently in my daily makeup routine:

Base

For a long time I have used the NYX Angel Veil Primer as a primer. It is really so good! The most important thing for me with a primer is that it covers the pores around my nose to get an even skin texture. This primer fulfills exactly this point, it covers my pores very well without clogging them and also helps to keep my makeup in place. I always blend it in with the Zoeva Buffing Brush, it works very well and I just like it more than having the remains of the primer on my fingers.

My absolute favorite is the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. Wow, just wow! So far I've only heard good things about this product, but couldn't really imagine that a CC Cream can be as covering as a foundation - wrong thought. It gives such a beautiful skin complexion! Even, fresh and with a hint of glow. You can hardly notice that you have applied something and also when looking closely, there is no trace of a thick makeup layer to be seen. I can really recommend it!
I only apply the foundation with my Beauty Blender - it's hard to believe but the difference of the result when applied with this sponge or with a brush is really immense!

As Concealer I love the Maybelline The Eraser Concealer. I think it´s already my third bottle of it and I´ll keep using it. I find it has the perfect amount of coverage for everyday and it´s also so easy to blend with a damp sponge. It blends in really naturally and so it´s hardly noticeable that you´re wearing a concealer.

As a powder I have been using The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 003 Medium Mat for a long time, but no not as a bronzer but to set. The bronzer in this color is still so light that I can apply it to my whole face and get a more "beautiful" skin color for me, and not underline my paleness even more.
For a hint of colour I apply the Artdeco Bronzing Blush. A beautiful three-coloured blush which, when all colours are mixed together, gives a beautiful sun-kissed complexion. Unfortunately this is only available on the Artdeco website as it is a limited edition as far as I know.
Finally there are a few splashes of the Artdeco Fixing Spray and the base is done!

Brows & Eyes

When it comes to eyebrows, I really always switch between extremely filled, defined eyebrows and the more natural look, where I hardly fill up my eyebrows and just comb them. Right now I love the natural look!
For this I use the NYX Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomeda Pencil in Chocolate. I definitely prefer eyebrow pencils because they are easier to use. This one is really very strongly pigmented, so you have to be careful not to get Eding eyebrows, haha. With the brush on one side I comb my eyebrows upwards and then only fill out the tail and the lower line, because my eyebrows are generally thicker anyway, this is enough for me.
As Mascara my new darling, the Dior Diorshow Mascara, should not be missing. Since I have already talked about it in more detail in my previous post, I will now be short. Long, voluminous eyelashes that look like fake eyelashes.

Lips

Currently I use almost every day the Artdeco Hydra Care Lipstick in Rose Oasis. It is a really beautiful natural rosé shade, a little more pink but not too extreme. I really like it a lot and the best part is the moisture strip in the middle of the lipstick. It gives a lot of care to the lips, which feel really soft for a long time.
For a browner lipstick I love the MaxFactor Lipstick in Burnt Caramel. A nice pink/brown tone. It also looks a lot darker in the packaging than it really is. It also feels very pleasant on the lips and lasts very well and long.

Pore-Blurring Primers
Ever since I´ve started using Primers, my makeup game has gone lots of levels up!
I´m sure we´re all in the same boat when I say, I want my skin to look flawless and even after applying foundation, and well I´ve found two pore-blurring primers that definitely give me that finish that I desire.

Before discovering these two, I´ve had to try myself to loads of different primers, some that clogged my pores more than protecting them from being clogged, some dried out my skin, and some basically didn´t do anything for me - I´m more than happy that I finally found primers that work really well for me and make applying makeup even more fun!

BENEFIT POREFESSIONAL PRIMER

For the longest time now, the Benefit Porefessional Primer has been my go-to for a very long time now!
I´m already on my second tube, and definitely not on my last one - even though it´s quite pricy with around 30€ per tube. It can be worn under or over your makeup or even on it´s own. I´ve tried to wear it under my makeup - what a suprise - and definitely found it has kept oil at bay, kept my foundation in place and, most importantly, gave me a velvet-y finish. Same goes when you wear it without any makeup, it´s definitely a good option to go for when you don´t want to wear makeup but still look more put together with an even skin. I´ve never tried to reapply it over my makeup - might have to give it a try soon - but Benefit says it will make your whole look even smoother.
The texture of the primer is hard to describe, but I´d say it´s definitely thicker but is really easy to blend in and also not noticeable after.
I´ve swatched it below, and even though it has a brown colour to it, it´s not visible, even on the palest skin (aka me).

You might have seen that Benefit has brought out an other version of this primer - this time with a glowy pearl effect. I´m more than curious to try that one out, since I already love this one so much, but it has a matte finish. So trying the same primer just with a hint of glow in it, will surely be something I´ll get a lot of use from!

NYX ANGEL VEIL PRIMER

This primer has been on my wishlist ever since I´ve heard, that it is the dupe version of the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. I never got to try that one out, but definitely am head over heels happy with the NYX version!
It´s really budget-friendly with "only" 16€ per tube but you get really a lot of product and kinda the same finish as with the Porefessional one!
A big difference between these two primers is the texture, as I already mentioned the Benefit Primer is kinda thick, the NYX one though is really similar to a moisturizer - as you can see in the swatch below.
It´s a lot creamier, feels fresher and more moisturizing on my skin - but surely gives my complexion a really velvety, soft and airbrush finish.
The only slightly negative thing about it, is that it doesn´t control oil as good, so you might have to apply powder again after a few hours - it´s totally okay, considering how good it is in total.
Now that it is permanently available in my local drugstore, this primer will stay in my collection for a veeeery long time!
Pore-Blurring Primers

If you´re not using a primer until now or you´re not happy with yours, then please do me a favour and treat yourself to one of these two and thank me later ;)

Have you tried these primers before? Which one is your go-to at the moment?

Who doesn´t love NYX nowadays? It´s just a fab brand, fair prices for high quality drugstore makeup pieces. Over the last few months, I managed to build a collection of products that I frequently use and always recommend to my friends and family. Because of their huge selection of different colours and finishes, there´s surely something for anyone between makeup newbie and pro.
If you want to extend your NYX collection, then this is the post for you...

The newest addition to my collection is the Angel Veil Primer, and I´m sure it´s one of the best products I have ever used. My skin looks really smooth and even, really natural and the foundation is still in place after a whole day at work. The texture is really similar to a creamy moisturizer and does nearly the same thing. I´m really happy that I found a "cheaper" alternative to the Benefit Porefessional Primer. I have a full review of it coming up soon, so definitely look out for that as you´ll definitely want to try this primer yourself.

I´m on my second bottle of the Setting Spray, at first I had the matte version which I was already really happy with it, as it did actually what it should. Hold back the shine and set my makeup. After I finished it, I thought I would give the dewy finish a try and it has been my lifesaver for when I apply too much foundation! I simply spray it on, and my complexion magically looks a lot more natural, dewy and not as cakey anymore. Definitely one of the best setting spray I´ve ever tried.

I´m also on my second product with the Micro Brow Pencil. It´s my go to brow product on my lazy days. As I simply just fill the spare areas in with it and get a really natural, not much effort, look. On one side you get a spoolie brush and on the other side, you get the brow pencil. It´s really tiny with a semi pigmentation, so just perfect for a natural look.

I´m not much for contouring but thought getting the Wonder Stick. Well for some reason I really can´t get it to work for me. The highlighter side is way too thick and kinda smears my foundation away when I try to blend it in. The contouring side is really hard to blend it. Like I´ve tried several brushes but everytime I´m left with a obvious brown line that is just smeared all over my cheek, haha. So as alternative I got the High Definition Blush in Taupe, which actually took me ages to get as it was always sold out. It´s a highly pigmented ashy brown blush, and contouring with this one works soooo good. You just need to be careful as to not get too much on your brush, cause it´s literally sooo strongly pigmented.

Another actual life saver is the Wonder Pencil, which you can use for erasing literally every little makeup mistake. I use it to clean up around my lips, around my eyebrows and to brighten up my water line, cause sometimes when I applied to much makeup my eyes look really small, and with this pencil it´s fixed. I love it so much aswell, because since
it´s nude and so looks really soft, way better than the white pencil option.

NYX has the best lip products ever. Probably 80% of my lip products collection is NYX. They are just the best in things of pigmentation, lasting power, finishes, colour selection, etc. My absolute favourites have to be the Soft Matte Lip Creams, I got lots of colours from that range. Some nudes but also some bright colours. The Lingeries Liquid Lipsticks are also really lovely! So far I´ve only got one colour, Push-Up, which is a brown shade. I like to reach for it more in A/W to make some looks more grungey. These liquid lipsticks are really matte, and so really drying for my lips, so make sure to use a lip peeling and balm before applying them. My absolute favourite lip product has to be the Full Throttle Lipsticks. It´s really pigmentated, water-proof and feels really soft and nice on the lips. I´ve got it in the shade Locked, which is a gorgoeus berry shade.

What are your favourite products from NYX?

Summer is over since a longer time now, yet I found myself reaching back for my summer makeup items, especially during the last days where we still had around 20 degree celsius. After a sudden drop in temperature I thought now is the perfect time to bring out my autumnal makeup favourites and keep them out for a very long time.

During summer I was more likely to reach for a light BB-Cream, instead of heavy full coverage foundations, a natural eyemakeup look and on the lips I preferred also a more natural pink/nude shade.
Well, for autumn I go for the complete opposite...
I really enjoy putting a heavy foundation on my face during the colder months. I take full advantage about the fact that I won´t sweat it away, but rather have the full coverage with an even flawless base. My favourites for that are the Rimmel Match Perfection, the L´Oreal Perfect Match and the last of what is left from my MAC Studio Fix Foundation.
The reason why I love all three of them is easy, with combination skin I always had the problem of it either being too oily or too dry.
When I have the case of too oily skin, I reach for the RImmel or MAC foundation. Both have a semi-matte finish, and you can literally see every dry patch, but keep oil at bay.
During dry skin days I reach for the L´Oreal Foundation, as it has a really glowy finish and dry skin patches are completely hidden and covered with it. The only negative thing about this foundation is, that it needs to be set again during the day as otherwise, things get too oily and glowy.

For the eyes I switch from a subtle shimmery nude to a full on daytime smokey eyes, or for autumnal shades from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. This palette is just made for this time of the year. I really love to use the caramel/beige or berry shades in the crease and the glittery nude shades on the lid for an easy everyday look. If I´m not using this palette, I reach for something like the MAC Satin Taupe Single Eyeshadow, which is a grey, slightly glittery shade all over my eye or an eyeshadow stick, like the RImmel Scandaleyes, a golden bronzey shade that I apply in a line along my lashline and then blend it out towards my crease. Simple but effective :)

My lipstick choice is probably the most different during the colder months, as I switch from nudes to berry and brown shades.
By far my favourite berry lip choice is the NYX Full Throttle in Locked. It´s waterproof, like you can literally drink everything, even really hot beverages, and it doesn´t fade or smudge at all. The colour pay off is really lovely and the lipstick just feels really comfortable to wear all day long.
I find myself reaching for liquid lipstick every now and then, and one of my current favourites is the NYX Lingeries, they are really pigmented and when used with a lip balm underneath also comfortable to wear. The colour range is really big and goes from paler pink/nudes to really dark browns and reds.

How do you switch your makeup up for the colder months?

The Birthday Makeup Edit Close Up 1
The Birthday Makeup Edit Flatlay
It´s my birthday on the 7th of April, and guess what day it is tomorrow? Exactly, my birthday :) I´m really excited to turn 17 and be one step closer to being full age and being able to do a lot of fun stuff (I´m thinking about going clubbing until the morning hours, haha)
As tomorrow is just a normal school day for me I´ll keep my makeup for the day really minimal and go for my normal routine which consists of a bit concealer, mascara and doing my eyebrows.
For the late afternoon I´ll refresh my whole look a bit and add some eyeshadow, highlighter, blush and lipstick.
I´ve listed the products I used below :)

flatlay, loose powder, makeup sponge, monthly makeup, beauty, makeup, german makeup, american beauty, blending, baking
flatlay, close up, porefessional primer, makeup brush, bb cream,
Another month is over, so it´s again time to show you what I´ve been wearing around on my face throughout the month of march.
If you have seen the other two monthly makeup posts you might have noticed that my bases get lighter and lighter with a lot less coverage. I like to keep my looks very simple as I only mainly go to school and therefor don´t really need to pack on a full makeup look.
I would describe this month´s look as minimalistic, light and glowy.

Happy Easter everybody! I had the last week off which wasn´t as relaxing as you might think it was, basically it was lots of revision and no make up at all.
So now that it is easter I took it as a great opportunity to put on a full face, but not in a full coverage heavy foundation but more a lightweight glowy base, lots of highlighter and some pink details.

Another week is over and we can all now concentrate on the probably most important question that pops up every Friday and/or Saturday night, where is the next big party and how can I look the best?
Going out or especially going to a club can get really sweaty, lots of people in the same room and dancing like you don´t care (be honest, we all do) is never a good combo, however for some weird reason people want to take pictures when you already feel like your make up is gone or doesn´t look picture worthy anymore and your forehead could be used as a reflector, am I right?
Valentines Day Inspired Makeup Flatlay
NYX, MAC, Maybelline, Zoeva Valentines Day Makeup Close Up
Revlon, MAC, Maybelline, Chloé, Maybelline and Zoeva Valentines Day Makeup Closeup
It´s Valentines Day on Sunday and the first thing that comes up in my mind is red and pink hearts and all in one just a lot of love. You could say love is in the air... but no definitely not for everyone, haha. Now when you´re like me and don´t have a special someone to spend the day with you can still have a fun time going out with your girls and also put a lot of effort into your valentines themed look.
I´m a typical girl that can´t have enough pinky/rose tones, shimmer and glow in her makeup so I got everything together to create loads of different look that include these aspects more or less!

Base:
I find glowy skin is a must for this time, having dull tired skin could ruin the whole look. So I like to reach for a full coverage foundation, over my loved The Body Shop Instablur Primer, the MAC Studio Fix in NC15, blended it with my Real Techniques Buffin Brush it gives a natural look yet every blemish and redness is covered. To cover my dark under-eye area and to complete my base I blend in the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC15 with the same brush as my foundation.
Before I get my glow on I like to fix my T-Zone and make it matte as I´m not the biggest fan of shine everywhere, not only on my cheekbones, using the NYX Matte Finish Spray. A pink glowy highlighter practically screams to be used on Valentines Day and for that I like to reach for my newest love the Revlon Highlighter Palette in Rose Glow, to apply that I take a fluffy eyeshadow blending brush and swipe it across every shade and you literally get the most beautiful pinky glow you could imagine!

Eyes:
Before I get my eyeshadow on I fill in my eyebrows using this duo.
For eyes I have two options for you, one that is more pinky toned and one more red-y berry coloured. The pink option consists of the Astor Eyeshadow Stick in Chic Nude as a base and blended with stiffer blending brush to create a kinda smokey look. To add that before said shimmer to this look I take the same brush and a lot of MAC´s All That Glitter Eyeshadow and firstly tap in on my lid and then also into my crease.
The more red-y berry option is really quick and that would be to use the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate and tap that in with your finger and slightly blend it out to more of a cat-eye look. After that you could either leave it like that or apply some liquid eyeliner as a tiny cat flick my favourite for that has to be the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner.
Currently I´m all about long voluminous black lashes. For the voluminous part I use the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and work it mainly into the roots of my lashes, and then for extra length and even more volume I recently started using the Maybelline The Falsies Mascara. It has a really wet consistency so you would have to be careful with it, apart from when you´re a fan of spider lashes, haha :). The way to get the most of this mascara is to just blink through it, your lashes will get a lot longer!

Lips:
I do love a good red lip but it demands a lot of retouching throughout the day/night so this year I will go for a classic pinky-nude shade. I´m a huge fan of matte liquid lipsticks at the moment, so far I have only tried the Soft Matte Lip Creams from NYX and I really love them, a velvety texture that dries matte and lasts for a really long time. In the picture above I´ve got the shade Tokyo, a lovely light nude tone :)
Matte is definitely not something for everyone and for that I have two options both are nude and shiny. Two of my favourite lipsticks from MAC are, Cremecup with a Cremesheen finish and Angel with Satin Finish. If I would have to describe these two shades I would say they are those typicall "my lips but better" shades. They just add that hint of colour to your lips and stay on for quite a long time before disappearing evenly, so no worries about having to check very often.

Before I´m out the door I spritz the Chloé Love Story Perfume on and I´m good to go :)

Brows, brows, brows, that´s all everyone is obsessed with at the moment, me included. Having defined brows can really change the look of your whole makeup and even give your face a more structured look, especially round faces like I have.
Obsessing over women with perfect brows over on Instagram or Tumblr is probably the easiest part of the whole thing, but finding products that actually work for you and are easy to apply is definitely a challenge.
NYX is a brand I actually really didn´t pay much attention to when I was strolling through my local drugstore, but that has changed since I was watching more and more beauty tutorials on Youtube and the brand launched in the UK.
I was so happy when NYX finally brought their most hyped products over to Germany and I literally couldn´t contain myself from picking some stuff up!
