Unbelievable how long it has been since the summer has ended again, as soon as you get used to the hot temperatures, it gets colder again and unfortunately the days get shorter again...
As September has still been quite warm, I didn´t feel like changing up my makeup routine any time soon, but now I´m slowly switching a few products!

I have to say that in terms of makeup, the transition from summer to autumn is definitely a very fun thing. In summer I really don't wear much makeup, of course because of the temperatures, so I'm very happy to finally be able to reach a little deeper into the drawer again and put on a little more makeup.
In the beginning there are really only small changes for me, for example I can finally wear Foundation again, as well as eyeshadow and eyeliner. Nevertheless, I stay with lighter nude tones before I switch to cooler brown tones.

The following products are therefore currently in my daily makeup routine:

Base

For a long time I have used the NYX Angel Veil Primer as a primer. It is really so good! The most important thing for me with a primer is that it covers the pores around my nose to get an even skin texture. This primer fulfills exactly this point, it covers my pores very well without clogging them and also helps to keep my makeup in place. I always blend it in with the Zoeva Buffing Brush, it works very well and I just like it more than having the remains of the primer on my fingers.

My absolute favorite is the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. Wow, just wow! So far I've only heard good things about this product, but couldn't really imagine that a CC Cream can be as covering as a foundation - wrong thought. It gives such a beautiful skin complexion! Even, fresh and with a hint of glow. You can hardly notice that you have applied something and also when looking closely, there is no trace of a thick makeup layer to be seen. I can really recommend it!
I only apply the foundation with my Beauty Blender - it's hard to believe but the difference of the result when applied with this sponge or with a brush is really immense!

As Concealer I love the Maybelline The Eraser Concealer. I think it´s already my third bottle of it and I´ll keep using it. I find it has the perfect amount of coverage for everyday and it´s also so easy to blend with a damp sponge. It blends in really naturally and so it´s hardly noticeable that you´re wearing a concealer.

As a powder I have been using The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 003 Medium Mat for a long time, but no not as a bronzer but to set. The bronzer in this color is still so light that I can apply it to my whole face and get a more "beautiful" skin color for me, and not underline my paleness even more.
For a hint of colour I apply the Artdeco Bronzing Blush. A beautiful three-coloured blush which, when all colours are mixed together, gives a beautiful sun-kissed complexion. Unfortunately this is only available on the Artdeco website as it is a limited edition as far as I know.
Finally there are a few splashes of the Artdeco Fixing Spray and the base is done!

Brows & Eyes

When it comes to eyebrows, I really always switch between extremely filled, defined eyebrows and the more natural look, where I hardly fill up my eyebrows and just comb them. Right now I love the natural look!
For this I use the NYX Fill & Fluff Eyebrow Pomeda Pencil in Chocolate. I definitely prefer eyebrow pencils because they are easier to use. This one is really very strongly pigmented, so you have to be careful not to get Eding eyebrows, haha. With the brush on one side I comb my eyebrows upwards and then only fill out the tail and the lower line, because my eyebrows are generally thicker anyway, this is enough for me.
As Mascara my new darling, the Dior Diorshow Mascara, should not be missing. Since I have already talked about it in more detail in my previous post, I will now be short. Long, voluminous eyelashes that look like fake eyelashes.

Lips

Currently I use almost every day the Artdeco Hydra Care Lipstick in Rose Oasis. It is a really beautiful natural rosé shade, a little more pink but not too extreme. I really like it a lot and the best part is the moisture strip in the middle of the lipstick. It gives a lot of care to the lips, which feel really soft for a long time.
For a browner lipstick I love the MaxFactor Lipstick in Burnt Caramel. A nice pink/brown tone. It also looks a lot darker in the packaging than it really is. It also feels very pleasant on the lips and lasts very well and long.

June Favourites Flatlay 1
I couldn´t be happier to write this post today, as it means that I´m FINALLY done with my final exams, eeeeeek. The last few weeks have been very busy with revision and weekly tutoring lessons, leaving no time to concentrate on anything else.
I also wasn´t wearing a lot of makeup, or better when I was wearing makeup I´ve always been wearing the same and that´s what today´s post is about.
My makeup look for June consisted of a glowy bronzed base, natural brows and length-y lashes.

What´s On My Face: April 2016
What´s On My Face: April 2016
How is it already May? Time has flown sooo quick and so it´s again time for another post of my "What´s On My Face" series, in which I show you every month what makeup products I have worn throughout the past month. April was a month with a lot of weather strangeness, at the beginning it was still very cold, then towards the middle all of sudden it turned very warm with temperatures upto 20 degress or more and now towards the end we even had snow again, like what? How is my skin supposed to keep with that?
I found it was reason enough to keep going with my minimalistic makeup look and only add some spring-y colours in it here and there :)

The Birthday Makeup Edit Close Up 1
The Birthday Makeup Edit Flatlay
It´s my birthday on the 7th of April, and guess what day it is tomorrow? Exactly, my birthday :) I´m really excited to turn 17 and be one step closer to being full age and being able to do a lot of fun stuff (I´m thinking about going clubbing until the morning hours, haha)
As tomorrow is just a normal school day for me I´ll keep my makeup for the day really minimal and go for my normal routine which consists of a bit concealer, mascara and doing my eyebrows.
For the late afternoon I´ll refresh my whole look a bit and add some eyeshadow, highlighter, blush and lipstick.
I´ve listed the products I used below :)

flatlay, loose powder, makeup sponge, monthly makeup, beauty, makeup, german makeup, american beauty, blending, baking
flatlay, close up, porefessional primer, makeup brush, bb cream,
Another month is over, so it´s again time to show you what I´ve been wearing around on my face throughout the month of march.
If you have seen the other two monthly makeup posts you might have noticed that my bases get lighter and lighter with a lot less coverage. I like to keep my looks very simple as I only mainly go to school and therefor don´t really need to pack on a full makeup look.
I would describe this month´s look as minimalistic, light and glowy.

Happy Easter everybody! I had the last week off which wasn´t as relaxing as you might think it was, basically it was lots of revision and no make up at all.
So now that it is easter I took it as a great opportunity to put on a full face, but not in a full coverage heavy foundation but more a lightweight glowy base, lots of highlighter and some pink details.
Valentines Day Inspired Makeup Flatlay
NYX, MAC, Maybelline, Zoeva Valentines Day Makeup Close Up
Revlon, MAC, Maybelline, Chloé, Maybelline and Zoeva Valentines Day Makeup Closeup
It´s Valentines Day on Sunday and the first thing that comes up in my mind is red and pink hearts and all in one just a lot of love. You could say love is in the air... but no definitely not for everyone, haha. Now when you´re like me and don´t have a special someone to spend the day with you can still have a fun time going out with your girls and also put a lot of effort into your valentines themed look.
I´m a typical girl that can´t have enough pinky/rose tones, shimmer and glow in her makeup so I got everything together to create loads of different look that include these aspects more or less!

Base:
I find glowy skin is a must for this time, having dull tired skin could ruin the whole look. So I like to reach for a full coverage foundation, over my loved The Body Shop Instablur Primer, the MAC Studio Fix in NC15, blended it with my Real Techniques Buffin Brush it gives a natural look yet every blemish and redness is covered. To cover my dark under-eye area and to complete my base I blend in the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in NC15 with the same brush as my foundation.
Before I get my glow on I like to fix my T-Zone and make it matte as I´m not the biggest fan of shine everywhere, not only on my cheekbones, using the NYX Matte Finish Spray. A pink glowy highlighter practically screams to be used on Valentines Day and for that I like to reach for my newest love the Revlon Highlighter Palette in Rose Glow, to apply that I take a fluffy eyeshadow blending brush and swipe it across every shade and you literally get the most beautiful pinky glow you could imagine!

Eyes:
Before I get my eyeshadow on I fill in my eyebrows using this duo.
For eyes I have two options for you, one that is more pinky toned and one more red-y berry coloured. The pink option consists of the Astor Eyeshadow Stick in Chic Nude as a base and blended with stiffer blending brush to create a kinda smokey look. To add that before said shimmer to this look I take the same brush and a lot of MAC´s All That Glitter Eyeshadow and firstly tap in on my lid and then also into my crease.
The more red-y berry option is really quick and that would be to use the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate and tap that in with your finger and slightly blend it out to more of a cat-eye look. After that you could either leave it like that or apply some liquid eyeliner as a tiny cat flick my favourite for that has to be the Soap & Glory Supercat Eyeliner.
Currently I´m all about long voluminous black lashes. For the voluminous part I use the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara and work it mainly into the roots of my lashes, and then for extra length and even more volume I recently started using the Maybelline The Falsies Mascara. It has a really wet consistency so you would have to be careful with it, apart from when you´re a fan of spider lashes, haha :). The way to get the most of this mascara is to just blink through it, your lashes will get a lot longer!

Lips:
I do love a good red lip but it demands a lot of retouching throughout the day/night so this year I will go for a classic pinky-nude shade. I´m a huge fan of matte liquid lipsticks at the moment, so far I have only tried the Soft Matte Lip Creams from NYX and I really love them, a velvety texture that dries matte and lasts for a really long time. In the picture above I´ve got the shade Tokyo, a lovely light nude tone :)
Matte is definitely not something for everyone and for that I have two options both are nude and shiny. Two of my favourite lipsticks from MAC are, Cremecup with a Cremesheen finish and Angel with Satin Finish. If I would have to describe these two shades I would say they are those typicall "my lips but better" shades. They just add that hint of colour to your lips and stay on for quite a long time before disappearing evenly, so no worries about having to check very often.

Before I´m out the door I spritz the Chloé Love Story Perfume on and I´m good to go :)

What are your plans for Valentines Day?
What are some Valentines Day Makeup Essentials that you will definitely wear?

In the last week, the temperatures went up to over 35 degrees and this means my skin get´s some time to breath and not to be caked in heavy foundation layers. After a lot of trying around and adding or leaving some products away, I found the ultimate combination that lasted through the heatwave without having to be touched up a lot.

 THE BASE
The base is the most important thing, if this already looks horrible than everything else won´t even have a chance to make you look even more gorgeous.
For the Primer I went for an old favourite of mine, The Body Shop InstaBlur, it makes my pores invisible and my makeup stay forever.
For the coverage of my whole face I went for something very lightweight but still covering enough to make my teenage skin become more close to that flawless skin.
Now for extra coverage and highlighting around my eye and pimple area. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 10 is perfect for under my eyes as it has amazingly high pigmentation, even for a drugstore product. To cover my pimples I used the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 3 Warm Medium.
To finish, set and fix my base completely I applied MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder in Light Plus on my T-Zone and sprayed some of the KIKO Face Makeup Fixer on the rest of my face.

CHEEKS
I´m normally a girl that prefers powder blushers, but cream blushers just win over the summer. This beautiful Sleek Cream Blush palette includes an absolutely perfect mixture of highly pigmented summer shades, so I´ve been varying around with this one, most of the days I lean towards the very right one as it barely has any glitter in it, unlike the other two, and is the perfect rose colour for my skin tone.
For bronzer I reach out for The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 3. Even though I came back from my holidays about a month ago,and still have a slightly tannend skin, I like to add this bronzer to my temples, cheeks and neck to completely finish up that sunkissed bronzed look.

EYES & BROWS
Normally I looove to spend tons of times perfecting my brows, but not in the summer and that´s when the Maybelline Brow Drama comes in for a good use. I use it in the shade "Dark Blond" and I absolutely love it! It fits my actual brow colour so well, and also stays on my brow, and most importantly keeps them in place, the whole day.
Smudging mascara is the worst but unfortunately the most common thing in the summer time, especially in this ongoing heatwave. To prevent that I use the waterproof version of the Maybelline LashSensational Mascara, it stays on all day and makes my lashes looking longer and stunning.

What are your go-to products during a heatwave?

With my holidays coming up, with up to 30 degree celsius, I needed a replacement for my foundation and when I stumbled over this little tube of BB cream heaven I knew I should give it a try.
I have to be honest and say, even though it looked kinda promising, I was quite terrified to use a BB cream, because of my very pale skin tone and problematic teenage areas which I thought wouldn´t get enough coverage to get me that comfortable feeling throughout the day, but I can say , there´s no need for my worries! I´m absolutely obsessed :)

The Body Shop All-In-One BB cream (14,00€/25ml) is available in 4 different shades, and I got the shade "01" which is the second lightest shade and it suits my skin so well!
The white texture might scare some of you, but it transforms into a skin suiting colour, because of it´s pigment-filled capsules which "burst" when applied and blended into your skin. Apart from that this BB-cream promises to adapt to your skin tone, to be buildable from light to medium coverage, to give your skin an even finish, to give you a 24h hydration and not to clog your pores, basically it´s makeup and skin care all in one :)

Now to my own opinion about this product, I would say that after it has dried a bit it gives the most beautiful coverage you can probably get with a BB cream, it doesn´t make my skin look as flawless and smooth as my foundation does but it adds that summery glow to my cheeks and just makes me feel refreshed and like I´m not even wearing anything makeup wise! Exactly what we want to have for summer :)

I´d say Go For It! If you´re on the hunt for a summer replacement that doesn´t go over your budget :)

My holiday is starting tomorrow and just like every year the same questions comes up, What makeup am I going to take with me?
On the picture above are obviously not every product I´m going to take with me, much to the incomprehension of my mum.
I only took my favourite, or better said, the things that I´m the most excited about to show you all and maybe give you some inspiration on what you can include in your holiday makeup bag.
The Body Shop All-In-One Tinted BB Cream: This will be my foundation replacement during the summer time. It has light coverages, suits every skin tone, which is perfect for tannend skin, and it adds the loveliest glow to my nose and cheek bones. A full review will be up in the following days.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Waterproof Mascara: I´ve heard so much good things about this mascara and when else is the perfect time to test a waterproof mascara then on holidays, where it will be still 20 degree in the evening? Right, never!
KIKO Radiant Touch Cream Highlighter: This champagner toned shaded highlighter which based on the description and my own experience is lightly blendable, so if I have to touch it up throughout the evening it will be fast and easy!
Max Factor Pastel Compact Blush in "Seductive Pink": Again, I´ve heard a lot of good reviews about this blush and it´s the dupe version of the infamous hourglass blushes. It´s highly pigmented, I can use it on my pale or later on tannend skin and it even highlights my cheek bones a tiny bit.
The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 03: I´ve been on the hunt for a nice, not orangey bronzer, and I think I´ve found the one. It will hopefully help me to look even more bronzed up. We´ll see if it holds what I´m hoping for.
Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in "185 Plushest Pink": This year I wanted to be a bit more adventurous with lipsticks, so I bought this popping pink one and not only is the colour lovely but it also tastes and smells sooooo good, almost fruity/flowery, I feel like.
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette: This probably has to be one of my absolute favourite eyeshadow palette. It has everything you could need, from lighter girly shades to darker smokey shades. I won´t need to take a lot of other product with me, not even a mirror! :)

What product will find its way in your makeup bag for the next upcoming holidays in the sun?

After a one month pause, I´m finally back and I´m starting with a new series that I came up with! It´s called "Save or Splurge" and I will introduce you to a more pricey and a budget friendly version of several makeup products, today I´ll start with PRIMERS :)

The two primers that I want to compare are The Body Shop´s Instablur and Benefit´s The POREfessional :)

The prices of these primers are quite far apart, The Body Shop´s with 15€ is only half the price of Benefit´s with 33€!
One thing that definitely doesn´t justify the price of The POREfessional is that this primer only contains 22ml, unlike Instablur which contains 25ml, which is a lot of product compared to the price difference.

The Body Shop Instablur Primer is said to control shine for 12h, reduce the appearance of pores, hides blemishes, unifydes complexion and extendes makeup. From my own experience I can say that 3 1/2 of 5 of their promises are true, it reduces my pores, unifydes the complexion and makes my makeup extend, it definitely controls my shine but not for 12h! It doesn´t hide blemishes at all, but that´s what concealer is here for, isn´t it ;)
Its texture is realy velvety and great to blend, it also gives your skin that velvety and soft finish. You should let it sink in for some time though, that way it´s easier to blend your foundation in.

Benefit´s The POREfessional promises to quickly minimize the appearance of pores & fine lines, complementes all skin tones because of it´s oil-free formula, help your makeup stay put and to protect your skin from free radicals because of its vitamin E derivative. For this primer I can say that all of their promises are true. My skin looks absolutely flawless when I wear this primer! My hugest pores are on my cheeks along my nose and after I apply this primer they are GONE! It controls shine, needs a bit of help from face powders anyway.
Its texture looks heavy compared to TBS´s but it´s lightweight once blended into your skin, also the colour of this primers won´t be seen after you have blended it in, so don´t worry about that :)

THE RESULT: SAVE
Both primers help you with that flawless skin, and even though the POREfessional is better at reducing pores, the Body Shop´s is a really good dupe version that you can more likely repurchase everytime without having to think twice.
But if you want to treat yourself than go for Benefit´s the POREfessional!
